With Tradition and Quality since 1920...
Olave, Solozabal S.R.C was founded in 1920 to produce high-quality pistols. When the pistol production of partners Olave and Solozabal was affected by the economic crisis of 1929, they decided to produce the highest quality office supplies. It was during this period that they began to sell their famous M-5 wire staplers, which they still hold the patent for.
In 1938 and 1939, with the addition of new partners, the 5 families who are still partners today came together and decided to expand their product range.
Products such as pencil sharpeners, paperweights, adhesive tape dispensers, and perforators began to be produced. In 1979, an agreement was reached with a professional designer, and it was decided to produce plastic versions of these products. Although many awards were received with the plastic series, it was discontinued as it was not as popular with customers as the metal products. Consequently, they returned to classic metal products and decided to develop them. New polishing and finishing methods were adopted, and special black velvet gift boxes were made for each product.
El Casco has continued to add new products to its range since 1993. Our aim is to offer you the best and widest selection of desk accessories. Despite all these changes and additions, the only thing that remains constant is our philosophy: always the highest quality, reliability, elegance, and success.
Production begins with the selection of the highest quality material. Human labor is involved in every stage of production, quality control is performed at the end of each stage, and products found to be deficient go through the previous stage again. Even today, each product is polished individually by hand. Each product, made of copper, nickel, chrome, and 23-carat gold, is treated and cleaned in electrolytic baths. The water used in these baths is recycled and reused due to environmental sensitivity. The final assembly of the products is also done by hand, and their functionality is checked. To prevent any damage to the product and to avoid leaving fingerprints at this stage, our personnel wear very special gloves and carefully place the products into their special boxes. Thus, our product is ready to satisfy our most meticulous customers.
In addition to our metal products, our files and similar leather-covered products made from the highest quality leather are also offered to our customers with the most refined tastes. We can also prepare our classic products specially for you and your company, in line with your wishes and satisfaction. We immortalize your logo with our silk printing and special engraving methods.
El Casco's headquarters are in Eibar, Spain, but we have representatives in many countries around the world, most widely in Europe.
