In 1920, Olave, Solozabal S.R.C was founded with the aim of producing high-quality pistols. When the partners Olave and Solozabal were affected by the economic crisis of 1929 regarding pistol production, they decided to produce office supplies of the highest quality. It was during this period that they began selling their famous M-5 wire staplers, for which they still hold the patent.
In 1938 and 1939, with the addition of new partners, the 5 families who are still partners today came together and decided to expand their product range.
Products such as pencil sharpeners, paperweights, adhesive tape dispensers, and perforators began to be produced. In 1979, an agreement was reached with a professional designer, and it was decided to produce plastic versions of these products. Although the plastic series received many awards, it was discontinued because it was not as popular with customers as the metal products. Following this, they returned to classic metal products and decided to develop them. New polishing and finishing methods were introduced, and special black velvet gift boxes were made for each product.
El Casco has continued to add new products to its range since 1993. Our goal is to offer you the best and widest selection of desktop office supplies. Despite all these changes and additions, the only thing that remains constant is our philosophy: always the highest quality, reliability, elegance, and success.
Production begins with the selection of the highest quality material. Human labor is involved in every stage of production, quality control is performed at the end of each stage, and products found to be deficient are returned to the previous stage. Today, each product is still hand-polished individually. Each product, made of copper, nickel, chrome, and 23-karat gold, is purified and cleaned in electrolytic baths. The water used in these baths is recycled and reused repeatedly with environmental consciousness. The final assembly of the products is also done by hand, and their functionality is checked. At this stage, our personnel wear very special gloves to prevent any damage to the product and to avoid leaving fingerprints, and carefully place the products in their special boxes. Thus, our product is ready to satisfy our most meticulous customers.
In addition to our metal products, our files and similar leather-covered products, made from the highest quality leather, are also offered to our customers with the most refined tastes. We can also custom-prepare our classic products for you and your company according to your wishes and satisfaction. We immortalize your logo with our silk printing and special engraving methods.
El Casco's headquarters are in Eibar, Spain, but we have representatives in many countries around the world, most widely in Europe.
