The universe comes into being thanks to the “Concept of Design”! Designers optimistically believe that they have been trained in this.

When Einstein said “God does not play dice,” he was referring to the existence of a “Concept of Design” even in a universe full of mysteries. Indeed, this is his hallmark: A delicious meal, a beautiful composition, a perfectly functioning factory, and a harmonious poem; all come into being thanks to it! And designers naively and optimistically believe that they have been trained in this.

According to them, the reason an architect is a good musician, or a good cook, or runs a cool bar, is because they “...received the concept of design in due time...” However, at the core of “design education” as a method of establishing original solutions and an aesthetic system that evolves from simple to complex, there is floundering, all-nighters, much repetition, and ultimately, only an intuition!

To remind us of this truth, the joke “Brother, where can I find this design lotion?” was quite popular for a while! We thought it would be appropriate to start Vasistas, where we intend to ground the concept of design from the highest heavens to the earth, with this joke.

The magic of Design Lotion, accompanied by its scent, consists of all-nighters, sketches, and conversations. We created Design Lotion to remind us of this truth. It has an energetic optimism in its top notes, caffeine in its middle notes, and volatile inspiration aromas in its base notes…

Its creators describe the lotion as follows: Referring to the historical unity of coffee and milk and maintaining this balance in the main decision of the scent composition, the lotion aims to broaden the conventional aromatic perspective. The spatial projection of the formulation, expected to be compatible with user habits, will also vary.

The 500-year-old raki culture continues to rejuvenate over time, incorporating different colors and dynamic energy. Alongside classic names like Hamiyet Yüceses and Müzeyyen Senar, new voices such as Hayko Cepkin and Gaye Su Akyol are emerging, and new generation meyhanes (taverns) are appearing next to traditional ones. Raki is no longer merely a drink for middle-aged, fatherly men; it is transforming into a culture where people of all backgrounds blend creativity, taste, life energy, music, meze, and camaraderie. The "white of raki" is now evolving into a spectrum that embraces differences.

Anason İşleri was born with the aim of bringing this lively, revitalized raki culture together with the language of design. They aimed to create products that go beyond the office environment and the digital world, touching daily life, dinner tables, and homes. Adopting the principle of transforming crisis into design, they produced anise-scented items. They have created innovative designs across a wide range of products, from raki glasses to meze plates, tablecloths to t-shirts, wallpapers to accessories. Anason İşleri aims to give raki culture a universal form by collaborating with innovative designers.
