Aniseed Affairs
The 500-year-old raki culture continues to rejuvenate over time, incorporating different colors and dynamic energy. While new voices like Hayko Cepkin and Gaye Su Akyol join classic names such as Hamiyet Yüceses and Müzeyyen Senar, new-generation meyhanes (taverns) are emerging alongside traditional ones. Raki is no longer merely a drink for middle-aged, paternalistic men; it is transforming into a culture where people of all backgrounds blend creativity, taste, zest for life, music, mezzes, and conversation. The "raki white" is now becoming a spectrum embracing differences.
Anason İşleri was born with the aim of bringing this lively, revitalized raki culture together with the language of design. They set out to create products that transcend the office environment and digital world, touching everyday lives, tables, and homes. Adopting the principle of transforming crisis into design, they produced anise-scented items. They have created innovative designs across a wide range of products, from raki glasses to meze plates, tablecloths to t-shirts, wallpapers to accessories. Anason İşleri aims to transform raki culture into a universal form by collaborating with innovative designers.
