With Tradition and Quality since 1920…
In 1920, Olave, Solozabal S.R.C was established with the goal of producing high-quality revolvers. When the production of revolvers by partners Olave and Solozabal was affected by the economic crisis of 1929, they decided to produce office supplies of the highest quality. It was during this period that they began selling their famous M-5 staplers, for which they still hold the patent.
In 1938 and 1939, with the addition of new partners, the five families who are still partners today came together and decided to expand their product range.
Products such as pencil sharpeners, paperweights, adhesive tape dispensers, and perforators began to be produced. In 1979, an agreement was reached with a professional designer, and it was decided to produce plastic versions of these products. Although many awards were received with the plastic series, it was not continued as it did not gain as much favor with customers as the metal products. Following this, a return to classic metal products was made, and it was decided to develop them. New polishing and finishing methods were introduced, and special black velvet gift boxes were created for each product.
El Casco has continued to add new products to its range since 1993. Our aim is to offer you the best and widest selection of desktop office supplies. Despite all these changes and additions, the only thing that remains unchanged is our philosophy: always the highest quality, reliability, elegance, and success.
Production begins with the selection of the highest quality materials. Human labor is involved in every stage of production, quality control is performed at the end of each stage, and products found to be deficient go back through the previous stage. Even today, each product is individually hand-polished. Each product, made of copper, nickel, chrome, and 23-karat gold, is purified and cleaned in electrolytic baths. The water used in these baths is recycled and reused repeatedly with environmental consciousness. The final assembly of the products is also done by hand, and their functionality is checked. At this stage, our personnel wear very special gloves to prevent any damage or fingerprints on the product and carefully place the products into their special boxes. Thus, our product is ready to satisfy our most meticulous customers.
In addition to our metal products, files and similar leather-covered products made from the highest quality leather are also offered to our customers with the finest tastes. We can also customize our classic products for you and your company according to your wishes and satisfaction. We immortalize your logo with our silk printing and special engraving methods.
