Tradition and Quality with you since 1920…
In 1920, Olave, Solozabal S.R.C was established with the aim of producing high-quality pistols. When the production of pistols was affected by the economic crisis in 1929, partners Olave and Solozabal decided to produce the highest quality office supplies. It was during this period that they started selling their famous M-5 wire staplers, which they still hold the patent for.
In 1938 and 1939, with the addition of new partners, the 5 families who are still partners today came together and decided to expand their product range.
Products such as pencil sharpeners, paperweights, adhesive tape dispensers, and perforators began to be produced. In 1979, an agreement was reached with a professional designer, and it was decided to produce plastic versions of these products. Although many awards were received with the plastic series, it was not continued due to a lack of demand from customers compared to metal products. Subsequently, a return to classic metal products was made, and it was decided to develop them. New polishing and finishing methods began to be used, and special black velvet gift boxes were made for each product.
Since 1993, El Casco has continued to add new products to its range. Our aim is to offer you the best and widest selection of desktop office supplies. Despite all these changes and additions, the only thing that remains unchanged is our philosophy: always the highest quality, reliability, elegance, and success.
Production begins with the selection of the highest quality material. Human labor is involved in every stage of production, quality control is performed at the end of each stage, and products with deficiencies are sent back through the previous stage. Today, every product is still polished by hand individually. Every product, whether copper, nickel, chrome, or 23-karat gold, is purified and cleaned in electrolytic baths. The water used in these baths is recycled and reused with environmental consciousness. The assembly of the products in the final stage is also done by hand, and their functionality is checked. To prevent any damage or fingerprints on the product at this stage, our personnel wear very special gloves and carefully place the products into their special boxes. Thus, our product is ready to satisfy our most meticulous customers.
In addition to our metal products, our files and similar leather-covered products made from the highest quality leather are also offered to our customers with the most refined tastes. We can also prepare our classic products specially for you and your company according to your wishes and satisfaction. We immortalize your logo with our silk printing and special engraving methods.
El Casco is headquartered in Eibar, Spain, but we have representatives in many countries around the world, most extensively in Europe.
