Classic Razor - Masamune Stainless Steel - Open Comb
The Masamune razor is Tatara's first razor. It has the appearance of a classic razor but is designed with unique touches that look to the future. Thanks to its minimalist design, it conveys our vision to you with purity, elegance, and simplicity.
The Masamune razor provides a smooth and efficient shave thanks to its small blade gap.
Masamune Black Version razors are coated with PVD technique. This is a special technique that allows for high-resistance, chemically inert, and biocompatible coatings.
Open Comb Design
It is designed to guide the beard towards the blade to cut longer and thicker hairs. Its recessed design allows more lather to remain on the face and the blade to come into closer contact with the skin.
With a quality and craftsmanship far beyond what is visible, and a special blade locking system that prevents any blade wobble or play, it is ideal for experienced users looking for a close shave. Suitable for intermittent use.

TATARA Hakkında
The name TATARA (鑪) is inspired by the furnace that master blacksmiths used to melt steel for Samurai swords in ancient Japan. Our products, like Japanese katanas, are made with extreme dedication and attention to detail. We combine this with the obsessive precision of modern engineering.
Based in Porto, Portugal, we are an engineering team passionate about product development. We came together in September 2016 to imagine, design, and develop TATARA's shaving products.
Noticing a market saturation in DE razors that were not very different, we dared to imagine a clean and elegant safety razor (SR). This would be strongly supported by minimalism and design, with the goal of achieving a smooth and efficient shave.
During product development, we experimented with various combinations for blade gap, angle, and exposure. Through safe razor users, we realized that features like vibration and blade alignment are actually very important for achieving a comfortable and smooth shave.
By ensuring machining tolerances (0.02 mm), we can reinforce the precise placement of parts and limit blade movements between the razor's plate and cap.
However, we realized there were other variables that still affected the shaving experience!
We knew we could help with wet shaving, and we found our mission!
