Despite all the etiquette, rakı drinking habits are evolving. The rakı glass, which we wouldn't even want to imagine in another form, has actually only recently achieved its current shape. There's a wisdom to such commonly accepted forms. If its ergonomics and aesthetics hadn't met needs, it wouldn't have reached this level of widespread use. We thought this miraculous moment of consensus in our culture needed to be recorded, and we asked our friend Onur Kutluoğlu to immortalize this moment. The result was perfect. We now know all the details, curves and straights, of the miraculous glass we hold in our hands.

The 500-year-old raki culture continues to rejuvenate over time, embracing different colors and dynamic energy. While classic names like Hamiyet Yüceses and Müzeyyen Senar are joined by new voices like Hayko Cepkin and Gaye Su Akyol, new generation meyhanes (taverns) are also emerging alongside classic ones. Raki is no longer just a drink for middle-aged, fatherly men; it is transforming into a culture where people of all colors blend creativity, gusto, life energy, music, meze, and camaraderie. The white of raki is now evolving into a spectrum that embraces differences.

Anason İşleri was born with the aim of bringing this lively, revitalized raki culture together with the language of design. They aimed to create products that go beyond the office environment and the digital world, touching everyday lives, tables, and homes. Adopting the principle of transforming crisis into design, they produced anise-scented products. They have created innovative designs across a wide range, from raki glasses to meze plates, tablecloths to t-shirts, wallpapers to accessories. Anason İşleri aims to transform raki culture into a universal form by collaborating with innovative designers.
