There is a belief that the development of Ankara, a city described by Refik Halid Karay as "orphan, poor, and ashen-faced," would guide the destiny of a nation in becoming a "dignified, yet coquettish, apple of the eye" capital.

The building of the Musiki Muallim Mektebi (Music Teachers' School), which was established in 1924 in a hotel building under the Ministry of National Education to train music teachers for secondary education, was designed by Ernst Arnold Egli in 1928. A qualified product of the rational-modernist movement, the structure not only houses spaces for Western music education but also features a concert hall, foyer, study, and reading areas, creating a Western-style life.

Onur Kutluoğlu's illustration series, which features symbolic buildings from the early Republican era, not only brings the optimistic modernism of the period to the present day but also successfully reflects the dazzling quality of these designs.

The 500-year-old rakı culture continues to rejuvenate over time, incorporating different colors and dynamic energy. The white of rakı is now turning into a spectrum that embraces differences.

Anason İşleri was born with the aim of bringing this vibrant, revitalized rakı culture together with the language of design. They set out to create products that step outside the office environment and digital world, touching everyday lives, tables, and homes. Adopting the principle of transforming crisis into design, they produced products infused with the scent of anise. They have created innovative designs across a wide spectrum, from rakı glasses to meze plates, tablecloths to t-shirts, wallpapers to accessories. Anason İşleri aims to give rakı culture a universal form by collaborating with innovative designers.
