Classic Razor - Masamune Stainless Steel - Closed Comb
The Masamune Razor is Tatara’s first razor. It has the appearance of a classic razor but is designed with unique touches that look to the future. Its minimalist design conveys our vision to you with purity, elegance, and simplicity.
The Masamune razor provides a smooth and efficient shave thanks to its small blade gap.
It is the black version of the Stainless Steel Masamune razor. It has been given a black color by applying a thin film with high adhesion using a special coating technique (PVD black coating) resistant to rust and impact.
The closed comb head is the most preferred head type with a smooth structure. It is designed with small grooves along the edges of the plate so that the skin is less exposed to the blade.
With a quality and craftsmanship far beyond what is visible, and a special blade locking system that prevents any blade wobble or movement, it is extremely suitable for those who shave daily.
Made from 303 Steel. It weighs 85 grams.
This box contains 1 Tatara Masamune model, with a closed comb, made of stainless steel, and in a matte black color.

TATARA About
The name TATARA (鑪) is inspired by the furnace that master blacksmiths used to melt steel for Samurai swords in ancient Japan. Our products, like Japanese katanas, are made with extreme dedication and attention to detail. We combine this with the obsessive precision of modern engineering.
Based in Porto, Portugal, we are an engineering team passionate about product development. We came together in September 2016 to imagine, design, and develop TATARA's shaving products.
Noticing a market saturation in DE razors that were not different, we dared to imagine a clean and elegant safety razor (SR). This was strongly supported by minimalism and design, with the goal of achieving a smooth and efficient shave.
During product development, we experimented with various combinations for blade gap, angle, and exposure. Through safety razor users, we realized that features such as vibration and blade alignment are actually very important for achieving a comfortable and smooth shave.
By maintaining machining tolerances (0.02 mm), we can reinforce the correct positioning of parts and limit blade movements between the razor's plate and cap.
However, we noticed other variables that still affect the shaving experience!
We knew we could help with wet shaving, and we found our mission!
