With Tradition and Quality since 1920…
In 1920, Olave, Solozabal S.R.C was founded with the aim of producing high-quality revolvers. Due to the economic crisis of 1929 affecting revolver production, partners Olave and Solozabal decided to produce the highest quality office supplies. It was at this time that they began selling their famous M-5 staplers, for which they still hold the patent.
In 1938 and 1939, with the addition of new partners, the 5 families who are still partners today came together and decided to expand their product range.
Products such as pencil sharpeners, paperweights, adhesive tape dispensers, and perforators began to be produced. In 1979, an agreement was reached with a professional designer, and it was decided to produce plastic versions of these products. Although many awards were received with the plastic series, production was discontinued as they were not as popular with customers as the metal products. Following this, the company returned to classic metal products and decided to develop them further. New polishing and finishing methods began to be used, and special black velvet gift boxes were created for each product.
Since 1993, El Casco has continued to add new products to its range. Our goal is to offer you the best and widest selection of desktop office supplies. Despite all these changes and additions, the only thing that remains unchanged is our philosophy: always the highest quality, reliability, elegance, and success.
Production begins with the selection of the highest quality materials. Human labor is involved in every stage of production, quality control is performed at the end of each stage, and products with deficiencies are re-processed from the previous stage. Today, every product is still polished individually by hand. Each product, made of copper, nickel, chrome, and 23-karat gold, is purified and cleaned in electrolytic baths. The water used in these baths is recycled and reused with environmental awareness. The final assembly of the products is also done by hand, and their functionality is checked. To prevent any damage or fingerprints on the product at this stage, our staff wears special gloves and carefully places the products in their special boxes. Thus, our product is ready to satisfy our most meticulous customers.
In addition to our metal products, our files and similar leather-covered products, produced from the highest quality leather, are offered to our customers with the most refined tastes. We can also customize our classic products for you and your company according to your wishes and satisfaction. We immortalize your logo with our silk printing and special engraving methods.
El Casco's headquarters are in Eibar, Spain, but we have representatives in many countries around the world, most commonly in Europe.
