About the head anatomy:

Mühle's closed-comb razors are safe designs where a safety bar is located between the blade and the skin, allowing the blade to contact the skin only at a certain angle (between 30-45 degrees). Since the blade rests behind the safety bar and cannot directly touch the skin, it can be easily used by first-time classic razor users, and it provides an efficient yet gentle shave for daily use.

How to Use

Prepare your skin for shaving: For a perfect traditional wet shave, always shave during or after a warm shower. Apply lather to your skin to soften it and prepare your beard for shaving. Applying shaving cream with a shaving brush helps remove dead skin cells and lifts the hairs, preparing them for a comfortable shave. Also, if possible, allowing the lather to sit on your skin for at least 1-2 minutes will further soften your beard and allow for an easier shave.
First grip: The safety razor should be held at a 30° angle to the skin. To find the correct angle, first hold the razor parallel to your skin. Then slowly raise the razor; stop as soon as you feel the blade touching your skin. This is the 30° angle you should maintain. You can be sure that after about 5 shaves, you will instinctively find the correct angle and gain practice.
First pass: The most important rule to know when using a safety razor is not to press down. Let the razor do its work with its own weight. Take the first pass in the direction of hair growth. Do not go over areas where you feel the razor is not cutting your beard. A safety razor cuts the beard by reducing it, it does not provide a baby-smooth shave in a single pass. Save these areas for the second pass. One of the simplest causes of irritation is repeatedly pressing and passing the razor over the skin. Do not allow this!
Second pass: After reapplying lather to your skin, clean up the remaining stubble with a second pass, again in the direction of hair growth. If you want a closer shave, you can shave perpendicular to the direction of hair growth (from nose to ear or ear to nose).
Rinse – moisturize: After shaving, rinse your skin with cold water, then moisturize, nourish, and refresh it by applying aftershave balm or aftershave lotion.
