Tradition and Quality with you since 1920…
Olave, Solozabal S.R.C was founded in 1920 to produce high-quality pistols. When partners Olave and Solozabal were affected by the 1929 economic crisis, they decided to produce office supplies of the highest quality. It was during this period that they began selling their famous M-5 wire staplers, which they still hold the patent for today.
In 1938 and 1939, with the addition of new partners, the 5 families who are still partners today came together and decided to expand their product range.
Products such as pencil sharpeners, paperweights, adhesive tape dispensers, and perforators began to be produced. In 1979, an agreement was reached with a professional designer, and it was decided to produce plastic versions of these products. Although the plastic series received many awards, it was not continued because it was not as popular with customers as the metal products. Following this, a return to classic metal products was decided, and it was decided to develop them further. New polishing and finishing methods began to be used, and special black velvet gift boxes were made for each product.
El Casco has continued to add new products to its range since 1993. Our aim is to offer you the best and widest selection of desktop office supplies. Despite all these changes and additions, the only thing that remains unchanged is our philosophy: always the highest quality, reliability, elegance, and success.
Production begins with the selection of the highest quality material. Human labor is involved in every stage of production, quality control is performed at the end of each stage, and products found to be deficient go through the previous stage again. Today, each product is still polished individually by hand. Each product, made of copper, nickel, chrome, and 23-carat gold, is refined and cleaned in electrolytic baths. The water used in these baths is recycled and reused repeatedly with environmental sensitivity. The final assembly of the products is also done by hand, and their functionality is checked. To prevent any damage or fingerprints on the product at this stage, our personnel wear very special gloves and carefully place the products into their special boxes. Thus, our product is ready to satisfy our most meticulous customers.
In addition to our metal products, our files and similar leather-covered products made from the highest quality leather are also offered to our customers with the most refined tastes. We can also customize our classic products especially for you and your company according to your wishes and satisfaction. We immortalize your logo with our silk printing and special engraving methods.
