The famous Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard published his book "In Vino Veritas" in 1845. The book is translated into Turkish as "Truth is in wine." However, discussions about the relationship between wine and truth date back to before Christ. In fact, this Latin saying continues as "In vino veritas, in aqua sanitas." It means "There is truth in wine, health in water," which is a reference to both water's connection to health and the idea that those who want to be clear-headed and keep their secrets hidden should prefer to drink water instead of wine. As Anason İşleri, we love grapes, as anise and grapes are what come to mind when raki is mentioned. We wanted to salute wine, raki's cousin.

The 500-year-old raki culture continues to rejuvenate over time, incorporating different colors and dynamic energy. While new voices such as Hayko Cepkin and Gaye Su Akyol are added alongside classic names like Hamiyet Yüceses and Müzeyyen Senar, new-generation meyhanes are also emerging next to classic ones. Raki is no longer just a drink for middle-aged, paternal men; it is transforming into a culture where people of all kinds blend creativity, gusto, zest for life, music, mezzes, and conversation. The "white of raki" is now evolving into a spectrum that embraces differences.

Anason İşleri was born with the aim of bringing this lively, revitalized raki culture together with the language of design. They set out to create products that touch daily life, tables, and homes, moving beyond the office environment and the digital world. Adopting the principle of transforming crisis into design, they produced anise-scented items.
