Balance is a delicate matter. It becomes even more delicate at a "çilingir sofrası" (a traditional Turkish feast with raki). The balance of conversation and the balance of raki become more precarious as the number of glasses increases. This creates a desire to challenge this delicate balance. Perhaps also a desire to be admired. Risks are taken. Sometimes the result is a legendary story; sometimes it's a memory recalled with "what ifs." Artist Vardal Caniş created two designs that evoke such moments. They make a beautiful pair together.

The 500-year-old raki culture continues to rejuvenate over time, incorporating different colors and dynamic energy. While classic names like Hamiyet Yüceses and Müzeyyen Senar are joined by new voices such as Hayko Cepkin and Gaye Su Akyol, new generation taverns are also emerging alongside classical ones. Raki is no longer just a drink belonging to middle-aged, fatherly men; it is transforming into a culture where people of all kinds blend creativity, gusto, life energy, music, mezzes, and camaraderie. The white of raki is now becoming a spectrum that embraces differences.

Anason İşleri was born with the aim of bringing this vibrant, revitalized raki culture together with the language of design. They aimed to create products that go beyond the office environment and the digital world, touching daily lives, tables, and homes. Adopting the principle of transforming crisis into design, they produced anise-scented products. They created innovative designs across a wide range, from raki glasses to meze plates, tablecloths to t-shirts, wallpapers to accessories. Anason İşleri aims to give raki culture a universal form by collaborating with innovative designers.
