Balance is a delicate matter. It becomes even more delicate at a "çilingir sofrası" (a traditional Turkish feast with rakı). The balance of conversation and the balance of rakı become even more delicate as the number of glasses increases. A desire to challenge this delicate balance emerges. Perhaps also a desire to be admired. Risks are taken. Sometimes the result is a legendary story; sometimes it's a memory remembered with "if onlys". Artist Vardal Caniş created two designs that evoke such moments. They make a beautiful pair.

The 500-year-old raki culture continues to rejuvenate over time, embracing diverse colors and dynamic energy. While classic names like Hamiyet Yüceses and Müzeyyen Senar are joined by new voices such as Hayko Cepkin and Gaye Su Akyol, new-generation meyhanes are also emerging alongside traditional ones. Raki is no longer just a drink for middle-aged, fatherly men; it is transforming into a culture where people of all colors blend creativity, taste, life energy, music, mezzes, and camaraderie. The "white" of raki is now evolving into a spectrum that embraces differences.

Anason İşleri was born with the aim of bringing this lively, revitalized raki culture together with the language of design. They aimed to step out of the office environment and the digital world to create products that touch daily lives, dining tables, and homes. Adopting the principle of transforming crisis into design, they produced anise-scented products. From raki glasses to meze plates, from tablecloths to t-shirts, from wallpapers to accessories, they have created innovative designs across a wide spectrum. Anason İşleri aims to transform raki culture into a universal form by collaborating with innovative designers.
