Balance is a delicate matter. It becomes even more delicate at a "çilingir sofrası" (a traditional Turkish meyhane table with rakı and mezze). The balance of conversation, the balance of rakı, becomes even more delicate as the number of glasses increases. A desire to challenge this delicate balance emerges. Perhaps also a desire to be admired. Risks are taken. Sometimes the result is a legendary story; sometimes it's a memory recalled with "if onlys." Artist Vardal Caniş created two designs that evoke such moments. They became a beautiful duo together.

The 500-year-old raki culture continues to rejuvenate over time, incorporating different colors and dynamic energy. Alongside classic names like Hamiyet Yüceses and Müzeyyen Senar, new voices such as Hayko Cepkin and Gaye Su Akyol are emerging, and new-generation meyhanes are joining the traditional ones. Raki is no longer just a drink for middle-aged, fatherly men; it is transforming into a culture where people of all stripes blend creativity, gusto, life energy, music, meze, and conversation. The "raki white" is now becoming a spectrum embracing differences.

Anason İşleri was born with the aim of blending this vibrant, revitalized raki culture with the language of design. They set out to create products that go beyond the office environment and the digital world, touching daily lives, tables, and homes. Adopting the principle of transforming crisis into design, they produced anise-scented items. They have created innovative designs across a wide range, from raki glasses to meze plates, tablecloths to t-shirts, wallpapers to accessories. Anason İşleri aims to transform raki culture into a universal form by collaborating with innovative designers.
