Tradition and Quality with you since 1920…
In 1920, Olave, Solozabal S.R.C was established with the aim of producing high-quality revolvers. Due to the economic depression in 1929 affecting revolver production, partners Olave and Solozabal decided to produce office supplies of the highest quality. It was during this period that they began selling their famous M-5 wire staplers, for which they still hold the patent.
In 1938 and 1939, with the addition of new partners, the 5 families, who are still partners today, came together and decided to expand their product range.
Products such as pencil sharpeners, paperweights, adhesive tape dispensers, and perforators began to be produced. In 1979, an agreement was made with a professional designer, and it was decided to also produce plastic versions of these products. Although many awards were received with the plastic series, it was not continued as it did not receive as much demand from customers as the metal products. Following this, a return was made to classic metal products, and it was decided to develop them. New polishing and finishing methods began to be used, and special black velvet gift boxes were made for each product.
Since 1993, El Casco has continued to add new products to its range. Our goal is to offer you the best and widest selection of desktop office supplies. Despite all these changes and additions, the only thing that remains unchanged is our philosophy: always the highest quality, reliability, elegance, and success.
Production begins with the selection of the highest quality material. Human labor is involved in every stage of production, quality control is performed at the end of each stage, and products found to have deficiencies go back through the previous stage. Today, each product is still polished individually by hand. Each product, made of copper, nickel, chrome, and 23-carat gold, is refined and cleaned in electrolytic baths. The water used in these baths is recycled and reused repeatedly with environmental consciousness. The final assembly of the products is also done by hand, and their functionality is checked. To prevent any damage or fingerprints on the product at this stage, our staff wear very special gloves and carefully place the products into their special boxes. Thus, our product is ready to satisfy our most meticulous customers.
In addition to our metal products, our files and similar leather-covered products, produced from the highest quality leather, are also offered to our customers with the most refined tastes. We can also prepare our classic products specifically for you and your company, according to your wishes and satisfaction. We immortalize your logo with our silk printing and special engraving methods.
El Casco's headquarters are in Eibar, Spain, but we have representatives in many countries around the world, most commonly in Europe.
