Each handmade model is produced with an extra dose of Saxon patience; from the tips of the shaving brush bristles and the chrome-plated parts, to the intricately engraved MÜHLE seal on the base of the brush. You are offered the freedom to choose the type of shaving brush bristle: According to your preference, the bristles can be made from badger hair or synthetic Silvertip Fibre®. The shaving brushes in this series have a knot diameter of 23 mm.

RESIN

High-quality resin is a special material whose surface is individually processed and refined. This material allows for a wide range of modern and classic designs in many attractive colors.

Initially, solid rods are aesthetically shaped into brushes and razors. Then, each work piece undergoes several polishing processes to achieve its special shine. This process gives the models a pleasant feel and preserves their beauty for many years. More valuable, heavier, and more durable than plastic, the texture of resin is paired with Mühle's intimate selections from its palette.

HOW TO USE A TRADITIONAL SHAVING SET?

Prepare the shaving lather: Prepare the shaving lather with warm water, a shaving brush, and shaving cream or shaving soap. Wet your shaving brush with warm water and, without shaking the brush, create lather by whipping it in circular motions over the soap/cream in the bowl. You can adjust the consistency of the lather by adding a few drops of water to your brush for a thicker and denser lather.
Prepare your skin for shaving: For a perfect traditional wet shave, always shave during or after a hot shower. Apply lather to your skin to soften it and prepare the beard for shaving. Applying shaving lather with a shaving brush helps remove dead skin cells and lifts the hairs, preparing them for a comfortable shave. Also, if possible, allowing the lather to sit on your skin for at least 1-2 minutes will further soften the beard and allow for an easier shave.
First grip: The safety razor should be held at a 30-degree angle to the skin. To find the correct angle, first hold the razor parallel to your skin. Then slowly raise the razor upwards; stop as soon as you feel the blade touch your skin – this is the 30-degree angle you need to hold. You can be sure that you will find the right angle and gain practice after approximately 5 shaves.
First pass: The most important rule to know when using a safety razor is not to press. Let the razor do its job with its own weight. Take the first pass in the direction of hair growth. Do not go over areas where you feel the razor is not cutting your beard. A safety razor cuts by reducing the beard; it does not provide a baby-smooth shave in a single pass. Save these areas for the second pass. One of the simplest causes of irritation is pressing the razor against the skin and going over it repeatedly. Do not allow this!
Second pass: After reapplying lather to your skin, clean the remaining hairs in the second pass, also in the direction of hair growth. If you want a closer shave, you can shave perpendicular to the direction of hair growth (from nose to ear or ear to nose).
Rinse - moisturize: After shaving, rinse your skin with cold water, then moisturize, nourish, and refresh it by applying aftershave balm or lotion.
