Adjustable Razor - Muramasa Stainless Steel - With Stand
Muramasa is a highly efficient and comfortable adjustable razor that allows you to choose your preferred shave closeness (mild or aggressive) by simply rotating the razor dial.
The adjustment mechanism is the first and only of its kind in the world, patented by Tatara.
For the first time in the world, this razor's adjustment mechanism is not multi-part or spring-loaded; instead, it has fewer moving parts, is much more durable, and is designed to loosen the lower part as the adjustment changes.
As the adjustment dial is turned, the lower head slides out or moves in the opposite direction. This way, the angle at which the blade touches the face is achieved solely by the movement of the lower part. As the adjustment changes, the blade gap and the blade's angle to the face can be gradually adjusted simultaneously.
Muramasa has 5 settings. Setting 1 provides a mild shave, while settings closer to 5 provide a closer shave.
As a result of this ingenious system, which is lock-free and springless, you can stop the aggression level wherever you desire. Whether it's 1 or 1.5! Yes, it is possible to shave with intermediate settings, and this is entirely up to your preference!
The special blade locking system not only covers the sides, but with the firm pressure of the top piece, the blade does not move, vibrate, or remain exposed!

The name TATARA (鑪) is inspired by the furnace that master blacksmiths used to melt steel for Samurai swords in ancient Japan. Our products, much like Japanese katanas, are crafted with extreme dedication and attention to detail. We combine this with the obsessive precision of modern engineering.
Based in Porto, Portugal, we are an engineering team passionate about product development. We came together in September 2016 to conceive, design, and develop TATARA’s shaving products.
Noticing a market saturation in indistinguishable DE razors, we dare to envision a clean and elegant safety razor (SR). This vision is strongly supported by minimalism and design, with the goal of achieving a smooth and efficient shave.
During product development, we experimented with various combinations for blade gap, angle, and exposure. Through safety razor users, we perceived that features such as vibration and blade alignment are actually very important for achieving a comfortable and smooth shave.
By ensuring machining tolerances (0.02 mm), we can reinforce the precise positioning of parts and limit blade movements between the razor's base plate and cap.
However, we realized there were other variables still influencing the shaving experience!
We knew we could help with wet shaving, and we had found our mission!
