Rytmo

RYTMO with conical shape and perfect design; It is the second product group of the INTRO collection. The prominent contours on the chrome-plated base of the brush and razor add an aesthetic expression to the products and is completely MUHLE - also thoughtfully designed: While the handle is manufactured, a thin plastic is attached directly to the metal, allowing the base of the brush and the razor to fit comfortably on the handle. The products of the RYTMO collection are presented in premium resin in black and mint green - and the best part is that ash wood (heat treated) is also offered to nature lovers. All RYTMO razor handles are compatible with Gillette® Mach3® or Gillette® Fusion ™ blades. A razor shaver option is also available for the enthusiast and passionate shaver. The shaving brushes of the series have a knot diameter of 21 mm.

The Material - Steamed ash

Besides beech and oak, ash is one of the most important indigenous deciduous timbers. It is to be found in Europe, most frequently in the more northerly regions. For our purposes, the wood is briefly heated to a very high temperature.

In this process it attains high resistance to water, the grain is accentuated and the wood takes on its brown colour. In order to preserve the naturalness of the surface, however, it is treated only with oil, not lacquered. This provides the wood with perfect protection against water and makes it particularly long-lasting.

HOW TO USE A GILLETTE RAZOR BLADE?

Prepare your skin for the shave: Always shave during or after a hot shower for a flawless traditional wet shave. Apply foam to your skin to soften your skin and prepare your beards for shaving. The application of shaving foam with a shaving brush helps to remove the dead layer on the skin, while removing the hairs and preparing it for a comfortable shave. Also, if possible, leaving the foam on your skin for at least 1-2 minutes will allow the beards to soften more and shave easier.

Check the razor blade: Check the lubricant bands on the tip of your Gillette razor blade, they should not be worn, there should be no clogs between the razors. If the Gillette razor feels blunt while shaving, you should change your head. The most common mistake that causes skin irritation is shaving with blunt razors.

Start shaving: Shave with gentle touches without pressing the blade. You should rinse your Gillette razor frequently to avoid clogging between the razors. Always take the first act in the direction of the beard growth. In the second act, you can shave at right angles to the direction of beard growth or against the direction of beard growth.

Rinse and moisturize: After shaving, rinse your skin with cold water, apply an aftershave balm or lotion to moisturize, nourish and refresh.

About Design

RYTMO

The Rytmo series is the embodiment of striking and timeless design. The conical shape is complemented by the distinctive collar on the chrome-plated base. As with other Mühle designs, these Rytmo designs ensure the piece sits perfectly when hung on its stand.

The Rytmo series is available in black and blue high-grade resin or in natural ash wood. All colour and material variations are highlighted by the bright, chrome-plated base.

In the stand design, a narrow plastic edge is inserted directly into the metal. This piece prevents scratching of the shiny chrome surface, while ensuring you have an optimal brush and razor.

How to Use

Use and Tips

- Pre-shave preparation is important. Skin and beard should be softened during shaving preparation, and this should only be done with lather obtained from cream or soap.

- The skin should be softened by applying the whipped cream-like shaving foam with a shaving brush. Moving the brush with the foam on your face for about 1 minute is sufficient to soften and stimulate the beard.

- Make sure your razor blades (Mach3/Fusion5) are not dull and are clean. A dull blade cannot cut the beard and damages the skin, leading to irritation.

- For the first pass, shave in the same direction as the beard growth. This direction is typically top to bottom on the cheeks but may vary on the neck. Every man has a different beard growth pattern, and this cannot be changed by the shaving direction.

- Do not press. Especially with multi-blade razors, pressing the blade against your face, in addition to problems like ingrown hairs, damages the top layer of the skin, leading to irritation and redness.

- After the first pass, reapply lather to your face with a brush or your hand. For the second pass, shave again in the same direction, or for a closer shave, shave across the grain (e.g., from ear to cheek, or cheek to ear).

- The skin perceives each blade contact as an impact. After shaving, it's important to soothe this impact. After-shave products contain highly soothing ingredients. If you experience problems like dryness, itching, or redness, use a balm. If you don't encounter such discomfort, you can use a lotion for a lighter effect. Using both together is also common; you can apply lotion first, then balm.

- If your shaving brush is made of animal hair, you need to pre-soften it. Soaking the brush in warm water (never boiling) for about 1 minute, ensuring the roots are covered, will soften the bristles and prepare them for lathering. If your bristle type is Fibre (synthetic), you can wet it directly and start shaving.

- Shaving brushes must be rinsed very well after each use and left to air dry. Alkaline buildup in brushes that are not rinsed properly at the base will cause the bristles to shed after a while, which is considered user error.

- Do not expose brush bristles to water that is too hot for your hand to touch. This will both damage the bristles and ruin the epoxy at the base of the brush.

- We recommend not applying excessive force to the handle while making circular movements with your brush.
