TRAVEL
The dedicated travel series, featuring the best performance characteristics, is particularly lightweight and functional. Screwless parts are perfectly protected when traveling in elegant cases made of aluminum or chrome-plated metal.
The bristle type used in travel shaving sets and brushes is made of Silvertip Fibre, which lathers instantly, dries quickly, and is highly durable. To securely hold a complete set with a brush and razor, handmade black or brown quality leather cases in Florentine style are offered.
Silvertip Fibre®
The high-quality synthetic fibers used here are our own invention and represent a world first. Their material properties offer a premium synthetic quality that resembles the valuable natural fibers of the silvertip badger. Most users say that this quality actually offers even better performance characteristics than natural bristles.
These properties create a pleasant, soft feeling on the skin when applying lather, without sacrificing the desired firmness during the lathering process (it has backbone). In daily use, the hand-processed fibers are less sensitive than natural bristles because they dry faster and are resistant to soaps and creams.
These completely vegan fibers last longer than natural bristles (all animal hair brushes). This is because a small amount of shaving soap or cream produces a particularly creamy and thick lather, resulting in less product consumption.
Key features:
If you have animal sensitivities but are looking for a high-performance brush, this is the most ideal brush you can find.
It does not require softening or preparation before shaving. You can simply wet it and start using it, which is practical.
If heat retention is not that important to you, meaning hot lather is not a priority, this brush will truly make you happy with its water retention.
It has soft bristles, highly preferred by those with sensitive skin or who lather on the face.
It is sustainable and vegan.
It produces a very stable lather in a very short time. It is a brush with good backbone.
Since it releases water very quickly, it dries in a short time. Therefore, it is also ideal for travel.
Its maintenance is much less demanding than natural bristle brushes, and its durability and lifespan are longer.
Usage and Tips
- First, when you buy a new shaving brush, lather it with shaving soap 1-2 times before the first use to remove shelf and manufacturing dust, then rinse and let it dry in an airy place.
- Fiber brushes do not require pre-softening as they do not have organic bristles. In this sense, they are quite practical to use. You can wet them directly and start making lather.
- They create lather quickly and dry quickly, making them suitable for travel.
- Start swirling the wet Fiber brush over the cream or soap without shaking off too much water. Continue until you achieve the desired lather, adjusting with a little water or product until it reaches a whipped cream consistency.
- Then, gently move the brush over your face in circular motions to soften your beard and skin.
- If you shave intermittently and use aggressive razors, moving the brush on your face for at least 1.5 minutes is important for shave preparation.
- Reapply lather to your face with the brush between each pass.
- After shaving, it is important to rinse brushes very well. If brushes are not rinsed properly, alkaline buildup occurs at the base of the bristles. This, in turn, leads to excessive bristle shedding after a while. This situation is considered user error.
- To ensure your brushes last longer, rinse them under running water from all angles, spreading the bristles well at the base, and hang them to dry in an airy environment.
- Fiber brushes should not be expected to retain heat as well as animal hair. Therefore, it is important to be aware of their heat retention capacity and not expose them to hot water.
- Do not expose your brush to water that is too hot for your hand to touch. Boiling water deforms the bristles and damages the adhesive at the bristle root.
- Do not expose your brushes to any chemicals. Do not leave them wet in a closed environment where they cannot dry.
- A well-maintained Fiber brush can be used for approximately 6-7 years. This period may even extend depending on usage.
