The finest natural hair for handcrafted shaving brushes. Its special features are the shimmering silver colour and a black band running though the hair. It is used to make durable, high-quality unique pieces - and products that make the wet shave the best time-out imaginable. The fine, conically tapering hairs possess the ability to retain a large amount of water and produce a dense, creamy lather.

The Material - Olive wood

Since ancient times, olive wood has been valued for its outstanding material characteristics and warm colouring. It is to be found throughout the Mediterranean region and has been used for centuries to make durable goods or artistic objects.

The wood we use must be dried carefully for months before the handles are turned. We then sand the surfaces, seal them with oil and polish them to a silky finish. This brings out the gentle, honey-coloured grain of the wood particularly well.

Since ancient times, olive wood has always maintained its value with its warm color and unusual characteristic features. This type of tree, which usually grows in the Mediterranean region, has been used for centuries to make artistic objects or durable products.
The olive trees used in Mühle must be carefully dried for months before being shaped. Then the surface is sealed with special oils and polished to obtain a soft texture. After this process, the wood's particularly elegant, honey-colored granular texture is revealed.

Heat retention is excellent. If you like warm lather and value feeling that warmth on your skin, it's ideal for you.
It has soft bristles and won't prickle the skin. If you have sensitive skin, the circular motions you make won't cause irritation.

How to Use

First, when you purchase your new shaving brush, lather it with shaving soap 1-2 times before the first use to remove any shelf and manufacturing dust, then rinse it and allow it to dry in a well-ventilated area.
Fibre brushes do not require pre-softening as they do not have organic bristles. In this regard, they are quite practical to use. You can wet them directly and start lathering.
They produce lather quickly and dry quickly, which also makes them preferred for travel.
Start moving the wet Fibre brush over the cream or soap without shaking off too much water. Continue until you achieve the desired lather, adjusting with a little water or product until you get a whipped cream consistency.
Then, gently move the brush in circular motions on your face to soften your beard and skin.
If you shave intermittently and use aggressive razors, it is important to move the brush on your face for at least 1.5 minutes to prepare for shaving.
Reapply lather to your face with the brush between each pass.
After shaving, it is important to rinse brushes very well. Poorly rinsed brushes can accumulate alkali at the base of the bristles. This can lead to excessive bristle shedding over time. This is considered user error.
To extend the life of your brushes, rinse them thoroughly under running water from all angles, opening up the bases, and hang them to dry in a well-ventilated area.
Fibre brushes should not be expected to perform as well as animal hair in terms of heat retention. Therefore, it is necessary to be aware of their capacity to retain warmth and not expose them to hot water.
Do not expose your brush to water that is too hot to touch. Boiling water can deform the bristles and damage the adhesive at the base of the brush bristles.
Do not expose your brushes to any chemicals. Do not leave them wet in a closed environment where they cannot dry.
A well-maintained Fibre brush can last approximately 6-7 years. This period can be extended depending on usage.
