The Mühle R224SR razor is a medium-aggressive safety razor that is in the bathroom of anyone with a traditional shaver, providing the most effective daily shaving result.

This razor consists of 3 parts (upper head - lower head - handle). The machine can be opened by turning its head, and you can put the razor blade between the two heads and then closed.

The head is changeable. In other words, you can turn your closed-comb machine into an aggressive open-comb machine with only head replacement. The same can be applied when there is a change from 3-piece open-comb machines to closed-comb machines.

The head of the closed comb razors can be changed by purchasing a open comb head. The head of the open comb razors can be changed by purchasing a closed comb head.

About Design

Rytmo

The Rytmo series represents eye-catching and timeless design. The conical form is complemented by the distinctive zone on the chrome-plated base. As with other Mühle designs, these Rytmo designs ensure that the piece sits perfectly when hung on its stand.

The Rytmo series is available in high-grade resin in black and mint, or in natural ash wood. All color and material variations are particularly highlighted by the gleaming, chrome-plated base.

In the stand design, a narrow plastic edge has been directly added to the metal. This piece ensures optimum brush and razor placement while preventing scratches to the shiny chrome surface.

Ash Wood

Many users prefer this bristle type not only because it is vegan but also because they achieve a creamier lather.

How to Use

Prepare your skin for shaving: For a perfect traditional wet shave, always shave during or after a warm shower. Apply lather to your skin to soften it and prepare your beard for shaving. Applying shaving cream with a shaving brush helps remove dead skin cells and lifts the hairs, preparing them for a comfortable shave. Also, if possible, allowing the lather to sit on your skin for at least 1-2 minutes will further soften your beard and make shaving easier.
First grip: The safety razor should be held at a 30° angle to the skin. To find the correct angle, first hold the razor parallel to your skin. Then slowly raise the razor, stopping as soon as you feel the blade touch your skin; this is the 30° angle you should maintain. You can be sure that after about 5 shaves, you will naturally find the correct angle and gain practice.
First pass: The most important rule to know when using a safety razor is to not press down. Allow the razor's own weight to do its job. Make the first pass in the direction of hair growth. Do not go over areas again where you feel the razor is not cutting your beard. A safety razor cuts the beard by reducing it, it does not provide a close shave in a single pass. Save these areas for the second pass. One of the simplest causes of irritation is repeatedly pressing and going over the skin with the razor blade. Do not allow this!
Second pass: After reapplying lather to your skin, clean up any remaining stubble in the second pass, also in the direction of hair growth. If you want a closer shave, you can shave perpendicular to the direction of hair growth (from nose to ear or ear to nose).
Rinse – moisturize: After shaving, rinse your skin with cold water, then moisturize, nourish, and refresh it with an aftershave balm or lotion.
