Tatara's Masamune Nodachi Top Cap is a component developed for users who want a powerful and close shave. Manufactured from stainless steel with CNC machining, this cap offers safe use by securing the blade between the base plate. Thanks to the Nodachi geometry, the blade is positioned with more protrusion and is more noticeably felt on the skin due to the positive blade exposure. This makes it ideal for those who particularly desire a closer, sharper, and more aggressive shave.
It is covered by a lifetime warranty against rust and manufacturing defects.

TATARA Hakkında
The name TATARA (鑪) is inspired by the furnace that master blacksmiths used to melt steel for Samurai swords in ancient Japan. Our products, like Japanese katanas, are made with extreme dedication and attention to detail. Combining this with the obsessive precision of modern engineering.
Based in Porto, Portugal, we are an engineering team passionate about product development. We came together in September 2016 to imagine, design, and develop TATARA's shaving products.
Noticing a market saturation in indistinguishable DE razors, we dare to imagine a clean and elegant safety razor (SR). This is strongly supported by minimalism and design, with the goal of achieving a smooth and efficient shave.
During product development, we experimented with various combinations for blade gap, angle, and exposure. Through safety razor users, we realized that characteristics such as vibration and blade alignment are actually very important for achieving a comfortable and smooth shave.
By ensuring manufacturing tolerances (0.02 mm), we can reinforce the precise positioning of the parts and limit blade movements between the razor's plate and cap.
However, we realized there were other variables still affecting the shaving experience!
We knew we could help wet shaving, and we had found our mission!
To create extraordinarily long-lasting products sustainably and to provide an enjoyable and comfortable shaving experience.
