Finest badger hair is known as one of the best and most special hair types, offering an incredible water retention capacity and the perfect balance between softness and backbone. It picks up shaving cream or soap very well, minimizing razor drag, which is effective in preventing post-shave irritation.
Tatara's Masamune Finest Badger brush stands out with a knot prepared in collaboration with Semogue and a sophisticated stainless steel handle design.
This brush also cleanses your pores by removing dirt and oil from your skin.
The Finest Badger handle is CNC machined from AISI 303 high-quality stainless steel, hand-finished, and sandblasted.

TATARA About
The name TATARA (鑪) is inspired by the furnace that master blacksmiths in ancient Japan used to melt steel for Samurai swords. Like Japanese katanas, our products are made with extreme dedication and attention to detail. Combining this with the obsessive precision of modern engineering.
We are an engineering team based in Porto, Portugal, passionate about product development. We came together in September 2016 to conceive, design, and develop TATARA shaving products.
Noticing a market saturation in DE razors that were not distinct, we dared to imagine a clean and elegant safety razor (SR). This was strongly supported by minimalism and design, and with the goal of achieving a smooth and efficient shave.
During product development, we experimented with various combinations for blade gap, angle, and exposure. Through safety razor users, we perceived that features like vibration and blade alignment are, in fact, very important to achieve a comfortable and smooth shave.
By ensuring machining tolerances (0.02 mm), we can reinforce the precise placement of parts and limit blade movements between the razor's plate and cap.
However, we realized there were other variables still influencing the shaving experience!
We knew we could help with wet shaving, and we found our mission!
To sustainably create exceptional long-lasting products and provide an enjoyable and comfortable shaving experience.
