About Design

The Rytmo series is the epitome of eye-catching and timeless design. The conical form is complemented by the distinctive zone on the chrome-plated base. As with other Mühle designs, these Rytmo designs also ensure that the piece sits perfectly when hung on its stand.

The Rytmo series is available in high-grade black and blue resin or in natural ash wood. All colour and material variations are particularly highlighted by the gleaming, chrome-plated base.

In the stand design, a narrow plastic edge has been inserted directly into the metal. This piece guarantees you an optimal brush and razor, while preventing scratching of the shiny chrome surface.

How to Use

- Pre-shave preparation is important. In preparation for shaving, the skin and beard should be softened, and this should only be done with lather obtained from cream or soap.

- The skin should be softened by applying the whipped cream-like shaving foam with a shaving brush. Moving the shaving brush with the foam on your face for about 1 minute is enough to soften and stimulate the beard.

- Make sure your razor's Mach3/Fusion5 blades are not dull and are clean. A dull blade, while unable to cut the beard, damages the skin and causes irritation.

- For the first pass, shave in the same direction as the beard growth. This direction is typically from top to bottom on the cheeks but may vary on the neck. Every man's beard growth direction is different and cannot be changed by the shaving direction.

- Do not press. Especially with multi-blade razors, pressing the blade against your face can cause ingrown hairs and other problems, as well as damage the top layer of the skin, leading to irritation and redness.

- After the first pass, reapply lather to your face with a brush or by hand. For the second pass, shave in the same direction again, or for a closer shave, shave diagonally (e.g., from ear to cheek, or cheek to ear).

- The skin perceives each razor contact as an impact. After shaving, it is important to soothe this impact. Aftershave products contain highly soothing ingredients. If you have problems like dryness, itching, or redness, use balm. If you do not experience these discomforts, you can use a lotion for a lighter effect. The combined use of both is also common; you can apply lotion first, then balm.

- If your shaving brush is made of animal hair, you need to pre-soften it. Soaking the brush in lukewarm water (never boiling) for about 1 minute, making sure the roots are immersed, will soften the brush bristles and prepare them for loading. If your bristle type is Fibre (synthetic), you can wet it directly and start shaving.

- Shaving brushes must be rinsed very well after each use and left to air dry. Alkali accumulation in brushes whose bases are not well rinsed causes the bristles to shed after a while, and this is considered user error.

- Do not expose the brush bristles to water at a temperature that your hand cannot touch. This will both damage the bristles and degrade the epoxy at the base of the brush.

- We recommend not applying excessive force to the handle when making circular motions with your brush.
