The Hexagon safety razor consists of 3 parts and measures 102 mm x 12 mm. Its lightweight construction makes it easy to use, and its stylish design is sure to impress.

Our closed-comb safety razors can be used by anyone new to traditional wet shaving. Suitable for daily shaving, these razors are of quality and durability that will last a lifetime. Our open-comb razors, on the other hand, provide a very close shave. Therefore, we do not recommend these razors, which require dexterity, for inexperienced or new users.

Thanks to interchangeable heads, the safety razor offers both open and closed-comb head options. By changing the heads, your closed-comb razors can be converted into aggressive open-comb razors. Similarly, open-comb razors can be transformed into closed-comb razors.

If you wish to store your razors more securely at home or while traveling, you can use a head protector. The classic safety razor head protector perfectly complements our product.

Precise tools, flawless design: The new HEXAGON series… Mühle collaborated with famous Berlin designer Mark Braun for the new Hexagon series. The result? Expertly proportioned fine shaving products – yet not at all classic.

Why? Because the hexagonal profile of each product, its contemporary and ergonomic design, is combined with traditional and entirely practical elements to provide a good grip and functionality. This is a design approach for which Mark Braun has already won numerous awards.

There could be no more modern or earthly color selection than graphite, forest green, silver, and sunset. These subtle earth tones are also a small reference to the rugged landscape of the Erzgebirge, between Saxony and Bohemia, to which shaving culture belongs…

The new HEXAGON series… Mühle collaborated with renowned Berlin designer Mark Braun for the new Hexagon series. The result? Finely proportioned shaving products – but far from classic. Why? Because the hexagonal profile of each product combines contemporary and ergonomic design with traditional and thoroughly practical elements to ensure a good grip and functionality.

Brand new yet familiar: Even the matte finish of the handle is new and resembles a simple engraving (just like in the Myriad Pro font). Of course, these products also pass through Mühle like the others: the razor has the same insert as the iconic R89. An additional detail covering the collection is a job Mühle excels at: chrome plating.

About head anatomy:

Mühle's closed-comb razors are safe structures where a safety bar is located between the blade and the skin, allowing the blade to contact the skin only at a certain angle (in the range of 30-45 degrees). Since the blade remains behind the safety bar and cannot directly contact the skin, they can be used comfortably by those who are using a classic safety razor for the first time, and they also provide a high-performance yet gentle shave for daily use.

Anyone new to traditional shaving can use Mühle's closed-comb razors. These razors are suitable for daily shaving and are of a quality that can last a lifetime. All closed-comb razors have the same head and are offered with different handle designs. All are designed with optimal balance, maneuverability, and grip ergonomics in mind.

How to Use

Prepare your skin for shaving: For a perfect traditional wet shave, always shave during or after a hot shower. Apply lather to your skin to soften it and prepare your beard for shaving. Applying shaving foam with a shaving brush helps remove dead skin cells and lifts the hairs, preparing them for a comfortable shave. Also, if possible, allowing the foam to sit on your skin for at least 1-2 minutes will further soften the beard and make shaving easier.
First grip: The razor should be held at a 30° angle to the skin. To find the correct angle, first hold the razor parallel to your skin. Then slowly raise the razor; stop as soon as you feel the blade touch your skin – this is the 30° angle you should maintain. You can be sure that after about 5 shaves, you will naturally find the right angle and gain practice.
First pass: The most important rule to know when using a razor is not to press it. Let the razor do its job with its own weight. Take the first pass in the direction of beard growth. Do not go over areas where you feel the razor is not cutting your beard. A razor cuts by reducing the beard; it does not provide a baby-smooth shave in a single pass. Save these areas for the second pass. One of the simplest causes of irritation is pressing and repeatedly going over the skin with the razor blade. Do not allow this!
Second pass: After reapplying lather to your skin, clean the remaining beard by making the second pass in the direction of beard growth. If you want a closer shave, you can shave perpendicular to the direction of beard growth (from nose to ear or ear to nose).
Rinse – moisturize: After shaving, rinse your skin with cold water, and moisturize, nourish, and refresh it by applying aftershave balm or aftershave lotion.
