Albert Thurston suspenders were first produced and sold in 1820 at their Haymarket store in London, five years before the construction of Nelson's Column. In the 18th century, fashion dictated that men wore trousers with waistbands too high for a belt to be effective. In fact, throughout the Victorian era, suspenders were the best way for a gentleman to hold up his trousers. Since its early years of production, Albert Thurston suspenders have been extremely popular among royalty, statesmen, and upper-class gentlemen.

How to Use
