John Cor Illustrated Poster
The Scottish Exchequer Rolls mention a payment made by King James IV to Friar John Cor in 1494. This payment was for a quantity of malt used to produce "aqua vitae" – which means "water of life" in Latin, and is known today as whisky.
We called it "sellable knowledge" and brought it from friendly chats to a poster. Ready to adorn the walls of serious whisky enthusiasts.
Design: Nurcan Baş
50x70 cm
170 gr glossy coated paper
Single-sided color digital printing

* Your poster will be carefully rolled and packaged in a postal tube for protection. Frame not included.
Anason İşleri About
The 500-year-old raki culture continues to rejuvenate over time, incorporating diverse colors and dynamic energy. While classic names like Hamiyet Yüceses and Müzeyyen Senar are joined by new voices such as Hayko Cepkin and Gaye Su Akyol, new-generation meyhanes are also emerging alongside traditional ones. Raki is no longer just a drink for middle-aged, fatherly men; it is transforming into a culture where people of all stripes blend creativity, taste, zest for life, music, mezzes, and camaraderie. The "white" of raki is now becoming a spectrum that embraces differences.
Anason İşleri was born with the aim of bringing this vibrant, revitalized raki culture together with the language of design. They aimed to create products that go beyond the office environment and the digital world, touching daily lives, tables, and homes. Adopting the principle of transforming crisis into design, they produced anise-scented products. They created innovative designs across a wide range, from raki glasses to meze plates, tablecloths to t-shirts, wallpapers to accessories. Anason İşleri aims to give raki culture a universal form by collaborating with innovative designers.
