The belief that the development of Ankara would guide the destiny of a nation lies behind the city, which Refik Halid Karay described as "orphan, poor, pale," becoming a "dignified, yet coquettish, apple of the eye" capital.

Completed in 1937 and designed by architect Şekip Sabri Akalın, the Ankara Gar Casino hosted many celebrities as intended and was a popular entertainment center in the capital until the 1960s.

The building is two stories high with a basement, and its casino is on the ground floor. It shares similar architectural features with the Ankara Exhibition House, the original form of the Ankara Opera House, with its vertical clock tower.

Raki is no longer merely a drink belonging to middle-aged, fatherly men; it is transforming into a culture where people of all stripes blend creativity, taste, zest for life, music, mezzes, and camaraderie. The white of raki is now becoming a spectrum that embraces differences.

Anason İşleri was born with the aim of bringing this vibrant, revitalized raki culture together with the language of design. They set out to create products that transcend the office environment and digital world, touching daily lives, tables, and homes. Adopting the principle of transforming crisis into design, they produced anise-scented items. They created innovative designs across a wide spectrum, from raki glasses to meze plates, tablecloths to t-shirts, wallpapers to accessories. Anason İşleri aims to give raki culture a universal form by collaborating with innovative designers.
