General Principle:

It is important to strop your razor before each shave.

Sharpening Process:

Secure the knife sharpening strop horizontally and taut (e.g., to a doorknob).
Place your razor flat on the strop, with the dull side of the blade leading.
Slide the blade across the strop in an "X" pattern. This ensures that all cutting edges of the blade are sharpened.
When sharpening the blade, keep this principle in mind: The blade should always be turned over from the spine, not the cutting edge.
Slide the blade across the strop with even and consistent hand movements for approximately 20 strokes (10 for each side).

After Sharpening:

The razor is now ready for shaving.

Razor Care:

Razors require special care and attention.
The sharp edge must be protected from impacts or friction.
After each use, carefully clean your razor and store it dry.
If not used for a long time, lightly oil your razor and store it in a dry place out of reach of children.
