About Design

The Rytmo series is the epitome of striking and timeless design. The conical form is complemented by the distinctive area at the chrome-plated base. As with other Mühle designs, these Rytmo designs also ensure that the piece sits snugly when hung on its stand.

The Rytmo series is offered in high-grade resin in black and blue, or in natural ash wood. All color and material varieties are highlighted by the particularly brilliant, chrome-plated base.

In the stand design, a narrow plastic edge has been inserted directly into the metal. This piece guarantees an optimal brush and razor, while preventing scratching of the shiny chrome surface.

How to Use

- Pre-shave preparation is important. Skin and beard hair should be softened during shave preparation, and this process should only be done with lather obtained from cream or soap.

- The skin should be softened by applying the whipped cream-like shaving foam with a shaving brush. Moving the brush with the foam around your face for about 1 minute is sufficient to soften and stimulate the beard hair.

- Make sure your shaving blade's Mach3/Fusion5 cartridges are not dull and are clean. A dull blade, while unable to cut the hair, can damage the skin, leading to irritation.

- For the first pass, shave in the same direction as your beard growth. While this direction is from top to bottom on the cheeks, it may vary on the neck. Beard growth direction is different for every man and cannot be changed by the cutting direction.

- Do not press. Especially with multi-blade systems, pressing the blade against your face can lead to problems such as ingrown hairs, as well as damage the top layer of the skin, causing irritation and redness.

- After the first pass, reapply lather to your face with a brush or your hand. For the second pass, shave in the same direction again or diagonally for a closer shave (e.g., from ear to cheek, or cheek to ear).

- The skin perceives each razor contact as an impact. After shaving, it is important to soothe this impact. Aftershave products contain highly soothing ingredients. If you have problems like dryness, itching, or redness, use a balm. If you do not experience such discomforts, you can use a lotion for a lighter effect. Using both together is also common; you can apply lotion first, then balm.

- If your shaving brush is made of animal hair, you need to pre-soften it. Soaking the brush in warm water (never boiling) for about 1 minute, so that the roots are also immersed, will soften the brush bristles and prepare them for loading. If your bristle type is Fiber (synthetic), you can directly wet it and start shaving.

- Shaving brushes must be rinsed very well after each use and left to air dry. Alkaline buildup in brushes that are not well-rinsed at the base can cause bristle shedding after a while, and this is considered user error.

- Do not expose the brush bristles to water at a temperature that your hand cannot touch. This will both damage the bristles and ruin the epoxy at the base of the brush.

- We recommend not applying excessive force to the handle of your brush when making circular motions.
