With Tradition and Quality since 1920...
Olave, Solozabal S.R.C was established in 1920 with the aim of producing high-quality pistols. Partners Olave and Solozabal, affected by the 1929 economic crisis which impacted pistol production, decided to produce the highest quality office supplies. It was during this period that they began selling their famous M-5 wire staplers, which they still hold the patent for today.
In 1938 and 1939, with the addition of new partners, the five families who are still partners today came together and decided to expand their product range.
Products such as pencil sharpeners, paperweights, adhesive tape dispensers, and perforators began to be produced. In 1979, an agreement was reached with a professional designer, and it was decided to produce plastic versions of these products. Although the plastic series received many awards, it was discontinued as it did not gain as much popularity among customers as the metal products. Following this, the company returned to classic metal products and decided to develop them. New polishing and finishing methods were adopted, and special black velvet gift boxes were created for each product.
Since 1993, El Casco has continued to add new products to its range. Our goal is to offer you the best and widest selection of desk office supplies. Despite all these changes and additions, the only thing that remains unchanged is our philosophy: always the highest quality, reliability, elegance, and success.
Production begins with the selection of the highest quality material. Human labor is involved in every stage of production, quality control is performed at the end of each stage, and products found to have deficiencies are sent back through the previous stage. Today, each product is still polished individually by hand. Every product, whether copper, nickel, chrome, or 23-karat gold, is purified and cleaned in electrolytic baths. The water used in these baths is recycled for environmental sustainability and reused repeatedly. The final assembly of the products is also done by hand, and their functionality is checked. To prevent any damage or fingerprints on the product at this stage, our personnel wear very special gloves and carefully place the products into their special boxes. Thus, our product is ready to satisfy our most meticulous customers.
In addition to our metal products, our files and similar leather-covered products made from the highest quality leather are also offered to our customers with the most refined tastes. We can also customize our classic products for you and your company according to your wishes and satisfaction. We immortalize your logo with our silk printing and special engraving methods.
El Casco's headquarters are in Eibar, Spain, but we have representatives in many countries around the world, most extensively in Europe.
