A Women's Empowerment Project

The brand was founded in 2017 by Hale Özşahin and Ceren Özşahin with the aim of supporting handicrafts and women's labor. All its products are made from Şile Cloth, Turkey's first geographically patented fabric. Şile Cloth is a fabric woven from 100% cotton yarn on hand looms. After weaving, the fabrics are washed in the Black Sea and dried on the beaches, then made ready for sewing. The brand name Seawashed Fabrics originated from the production process of Şile Cloth. This sea-washed fabric, woven with the bürümcük technique, has a structure that stays away from the skin thanks to its special knotting method. Thanks to this feature, every garment you buy from Seawashed Fabrics will be indispensable for your summer months. The clothes, adorned with tying techniques and embroideries unique to the Black Sea region, are handmade by amazing women from the Black Sea.

As the Seawashed Fabrics brand, our goal is to design original, comfortable, sincere and stylish products, to remind the value of hand labor, to make the historical Şile Cloth known worldwide by bringing it together with modern patterns, to tell stories with tying techniques and hand-woven motifs, to convey and share cultural values, to make you feel unique, and most importantly, to keep traditions alive.
