The scent of a plant all the way down to its roots, a material-based perfume that exalts the primal nature of precious essence. Here, vetiver assumes its innate harshness. And even more: its virility. True, even though it has been one of the main ingredients of masculine fragrances for decades, it is often used in a gentle, urban, softened way. In Vétiver Bourbon, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato frees it from its overly civilized manners and restores its native elegance. The elegance of a material which is, even in its raw state, a unique and contradictory scent.
A tribute fragrance that evokes the legendary vetiver Bourbon, now extremely rare since it is no longer widely cultivated and has almost entirely disappeared from the island of La Réunion. With its fresh, green, aromatic facets and its earthy, mossy, woody undertones, it is the richest, fullest of all vetiver essences. The reference quality for this component.
It is a fragrant landscape evoking the dawn of the harvest of the fragrant root, at the very moment when the sturdy root is torn from the earth, a memory of one of Marc-Antoine Corticchiato's trips to Bourbon Island. It intensifies its earthy nature by adding to the vetiver Bourbon essence, with its mineral facets, the interaction of two roots. Angelica root, herbaceous, musky and peppery, whipped by Madagascar clove and delicate woody iris illuminated by limpid ambrette seed.
