What does it do
  • Why a shaving brush? Your beard needs to be prepared for shaving in an ideal environment. If proper preparation is not done, post-shave problems are likely to occur.
  • The shaving brush deeply cleanses the pores by removing dead tissue from the skin. This allows the razor blade to meet the beard in an ideal environment.
  • Through the use of a brush, your beard is softened, stimulated, lifted, and prepared for shaving as it should be.
  • Since the shaving brush lifts hairs correctly and removes the dead layer of skin, it helps ingrown hairs to emerge to the skin surface and prevents ingrown hairs by lifting those prone to growing under the skin.
  • As your skin is ideally prepared for shaving with a shaving brush, potential post-shave problems are minimized at the very first stage.
  • Sensitive skin, especially those experiencing problems, must use a shaving brush during the preparation phase.

How to Use

Usage and Tips

- First, when you buy a new shaving brush, lather it with shaving soap 1-2 times and wash it before the first use to remove shelf and production dust, then let it dry in an airy place.

- Boar bristles are organic and therefore require pre-preparation. You should soften the bristles by soaking your brush in lukewarm water for half a minute, ensuring the base of the bristles are submerged, then begin to lather.

- After pre-softening, start moving the wet brush, without shaking off too much water, over the cream or soap. Continue until you achieve the desired lather, adjusting with a little water or a little product until it reaches a whipped cream consistency.

- Then, move the brush over your face in circular motions to soften your beard and skin.

- If you shave infrequently and use aggressive razors, moving the brush on your face for at least 1.5 minutes is important for preparation.

- Reapply lather to your face with the brush between each pass.

- After shaving, it is important to rinse the brushes very well. Poorly rinsed brushes can lead to alkaline buildup at the base of the bristles. This, in turn, causes excessive shedding of the bristles after a while. This is considered user error.

- To extend the life of your brushes, rinse them thoroughly under running water from all angles, ensuring the bases are well opened, and hang them to dry in an airy environment.

- Boar bristles are organic, and boiling or very hot water will deform the bristles.

- Do not expose your brush to water at a temperature you cannot touch. Boiling water deforms the bristles and also damages the adhesive at the root of the brush hairs.

- Do not expose your brushes to any chemicals. Do not leave them wet in a closed environment where they cannot dry.

- With all shaving brushes, when starting new use, it is normal for 3-5 bristles to shed with each shave. Bristles that cannot hold onto the knot shed, and this situation diminishes and disappears within the first 1.5 months.

- A well-maintained boar brush can be used for approximately 6-7 years. This period may even be extended depending on usage.

- Boar bristles are stiff. Over time, they break in on the face and soften as their tips fork. Therefore, until the brush is fully broken in, it will be better to lather in a bowl rather than on the face.
