Tatara's Muramasa Adjustable Brush Head Premium Boar version is made from natural boar bristles and is designed to be used with the Muramasa adjustable brush handle.

Thanks to the loft (bristle length) adjustment, the bristle structure can be changed according to usage preferences — softness and flexibility with longer bristles; a firmer structure and feeling of control with shorter bristles. With its matte finished body, it offers both aesthetics and durability.

The Muramasa adjustable shaving brush has a patented design that can be used with different brush heads.

This shaving brush features a natural boar bristle head produced in collaboration with Semogue. It offers a personalized shaving experience.

Premium Natural Bristle: This is a backbone type of bristle that additionally provides an exfoliating effect on the skin.

It is covered by a lifetime warranty against rust and manufacturing defects.

The name TATARA (鑪) is inspired by the furnace that master blacksmiths used to melt steel for Samurai swords in ancient Japan. Our products, like Japanese katanas, are made with extreme dedication and attention to detail. We combine this with the obsessive precision of modern engineering.

Based in Porto, Portugal, we are an engineering team passionate about product development. We came together in September 2016 to imagine, design, and develop TATARA's shaving products.

Noticing a market saturation in DE razors that were not distinct, we dared to imagine a clean and elegant safety razor (SR). This is strongly supported by minimalism and design, with the aim of achieving a smooth and efficient shave.

During product development, we experimented with various combinations for blade gap, angle, and exposure. Through safety razor users, we realized that characteristics such as vibration and blade alignment are actually very important for achieving a comfortable and smooth shave.

By maintaining machining tolerances (0.02 mm), we can reinforce the correct placement of parts and limit blade movements between the razor's plate and cap.

However, we noticed other variables that still affect the shaving experience!

We knew we could help with wet shaving, and we had found our mission!

To create extraordinarily long-lasting products sustainably and provide an enjoyable and comfortable shaving experience.

With longer bristles, it provides softer and more flexible use; soap and cream lather are distributed evenly on the face.
When a small loft setting is used, the bristles become tighter and stiffer, giving a greater sense of control.
Premium boar bristles hold water and cream well; thus, lather production is high and efficient.
When combined with the finishing material and handle, it provides a comfortable grip; it does not slip in the hand.
Body-compatible head; its adjustable structure allows for use with different bristle lengths.
