Rytmo

RYTMO with conical shape and perfect design; It is the second product group of the INTRO collection. The prominent contours on the chrome-plated base of the brush and razor add an aesthetic expression to the products and is completely MUHLE - also thoughtfully designed: While the handle is manufactured, a thin plastic is attached directly to the metal, allowing the base of the brush and the razor to fit comfortably on the handle. The products of the RYTMO collection are presented in premium resin in black and mint green - and the best part is that ash wood (heat treated) is also offered to nature lovers. All RYTMO razor handles are compatible with Gillette® Mach3® or Gillette® Fusion ™ blades. A razor shaver option is also available for the enthusiast and passionate shaver. The Material - Steamed ash

Besides beech and oak, ash is one of the most important indigenous deciduous timbers. It is to be found in Europe, most frequently in the more northerly regions. For our purposes, the wood is briefly heated to a very high temperature.

In this process it attains high resistance to water, the grain is accentuated and the wood takes on its brown colour. In order to preserve the naturalness of the surface, however, it is treated only with oil, not lacquered. This provides the wood with perfect protection against water and makes it particularly long-lasting.

Pure badger

Pure badger is the basic quality among the natural hair types. The material is recognizable by its relatively dark colouring. The individual hairs are somewhat thicker, but still soft and much more flexible than bristles. This quality is highly recommended for those wishing to take a badger hair brush that provides a slightly stronger massage effect. In terms of water holding capacity, it is among the most preferred shaving brushes after thin badger.

About head anatomy:

Mühle's closed-comb machines are safe structures where there is a safety bar between the razor and the skin, where the razor can only touch the skin at a certain angle (30-45 degrees range). Since the Razor blade is behind the safety bar and cannot contact the skin directly, it can be easily used by those who will use a classic razor for the first time, and provides a shave that is performance but does not tire the skin in daily shaving.

Mühle's razors with closed-comb can be used by anyone new to traditional shaving. All closed comb razors have the same head and are offered with different handle designs. All are designed by calculating the optimum balance-maneuverability and grip ergonomics.

So what is the open-comb structure? What is the difference with closed structure? It is important to know the difference between the two builds to make sure that the razor you buy is right for you.

There is no safety bar in Mühle's open-head shavers. It has a open tooth comb structure instead of the safety bar, and due to the difference of the blade bend angle, the razor can contact the skin directly and at a right angle. They are very close shaving machines that require hand habit. Due to its open tooth comb structure, the beards get inside the comb and the razor can cut the beard closer to the skin.

About Design

RYTMO

The Rytmo series is the epitome of striking and timeless design. The conical form is complemented by the distinctive collar at the chrome-plated base. As with other Mühle designs, these Rytmo designs also ensure that the piece sits perfectly when suspended in its stand.

The Rytmo series is available in high-grade resin in black and blue, or in natural ash. All color and material variations are particularly highlighted by the bright, chrome-plated base.

In the stand design, a narrow plastic rim has been incorporated directly into the metal. This piece ensures you have an optimal brush and razor, while preventing scratching of the bright chrome surface.

Mühle's closed-comb razors are a staple tool in the cabinet of anyone who shaves traditionally. With its optimized center of gravity and size, it offers perfect balance and maneuverability. Its ability to adapt perfectly to the user for varying shaves with different blade sharpness makes it an excellent choice.

The classic razor consists of 3 parts and its head is replaceable. This allows you to convert your closed-comb razor into an open-comb razor, which provides a more aggressive shave, simply by changing the head.

Hair Type: Pure Badger

Pure badger shaving brushes, known for their mid-level performance, are especially suitable for wet shavers who enjoy a soft facial massage. The brush tip, which is slightly stiffer than other badger hairs, is shaped by machine. Their colors vary from brownish-gray to black. They are among the most preferred shaving brushes after fine badger in terms of water retention capacity. (Also called pure badger shaving brushes.)

Since the hair tips are slightly stiff, lathering in a bowl is recommended for sensitive skin instead of lathering directly on the face.

Ash wood:

Ash wood does not require special treatment in its use. It has undergone special processes to make it water-resistant. Nevertheless, due to the natural texture, it is beneficial not to leave it in water for a long time and to dry it lightly after rinsing.

Oiling the wooden texture once a year with a suitable wood care oil will ensure that your brush serves you with the same quality and appearance for many years.

How to Use

- In traditional shaving, preparation is important. In preparation for shaving, the skin and beard should be softened, and this process should only be done with lather obtained from cream or soap.

- The skin should be softened by applying the whipped cream-like shaving foam with a shaving brush. Moving the shaving brush with the foam on your face for about 1 minute is enough to soften and stimulate the beard.

- Open the head of your razor. Hold the blade by its short edge, place it inside the razor, and close it.

- If your razor is 3-piece, it will open by twisting its head; if it's 2-piece, it will open by twisting the mechanism on the handle.

- Then, start shaving. Razors with closed combs only touch the skin at a 30-45 degree angle. They cannot make direct contact with the skin. Razors with open combs, however, can make direct contact. These razors cut and shorten the beard, so you need to shave in passes. It's important to shave according to the direction of beard growth.

- For the first pass, shave in the same direction as the beard growth. While this direction is from top to bottom on the cheek, it may vary on the neck. Every man has a different beard growth direction, and this cannot be changed by the cutting direction.

- Do not press. Classic razors shave with their own weight. Gently hold the razor by its handle and do not press it against your skin. Let it glide over the foam and blade. For those new to traditional shaving, our primary goal is to achieve an irritation-free shave, not necessarily a clean one. As you get used to it (approximately 8-10 shaves), clean shaves will come naturally. Do not go over the same spot repeatedly.

- After the first pass, reapply foam to your face with a brush or your hand. For the second pass, shave in the same direction or in a crosswise direction for a closer shave (e.g., from ear to cheek, or cheek to ear).

- The skin perceives each blade contact as an impact. After shaving, it is important to soothe this impact. Post-shave products contain highly soothing ingredients. If you have problems like dryness, itching, or redness, use a balm. If you don't experience such discomforts, you can use a lotion for a lighter effect. Using both is also common; you can apply lotion first, then balm.

- We recommend not shaving against the grain until you are fully accustomed to the razor. This can lead to undesirable conditions such as irritation or ingrown hairs.

- Mühle classic razors have chrome-plated heads made of metal. Applying excessive force to metal components can cause screw deformation, so please do not do this. Oiling the metal components a few times a year with metal oil will add value to the life of your razor.

- After shaving, remove the blade from the razor, dry it, and store it in its paper. Mühle razors are made of stainless zamak alloy. However, we do not recommend prolonged contact of the surface with a rusty blade.

- While the average number of uses for double-edge blades is 4-5, this depends directly on the tool used, the frequency of shaving, the blade brand, and skin type. Therefore, everyone's number of uses is unique. Change the blade as soon as you feel it tugging at your beard instead of cutting it. Do not shave with a dull blade, as it will cause irritation.

- If your shaving brush is made of animal hair, you need to pre-soften it. Soaking the brush in warm water (never boiling) for about 1 minute, allowing the water to reach the roots of the bristles, will soften the brush hairs and prepare them for lathering. If your bristle type is Fibre, you can wet it directly and start shaving.

- Shaving brushes should be rinsed thoroughly after each use and left to air dry. Alkali buildup in brushes that are not rinsed well at the base will cause the bristles to shed after a while, and this is considered user error.

- Do not expose the brush bristles to water that is too hot for your hands to touch. This will damage the bristles and degrade the epoxy at the base of the brush.

- We recommend not applying excessive force to the handle while making circular motions with your brush.
