Tips for use and care: The leather for this case is tanned in Germany and painstakingly processed into a high-quality product in order to retain its natural characteristics. Slight variations in the colouring and small scars are features of the natural material. We recommend applying a thin layer of care cream or grease for untreated leathers and gently polishing the case with a soft cloth.

The case fastener on the outside becomes more supple with time. Slide the fastening button through the hole by pressing the edge of the hole with two fingers.

The Material - Chrome

Without chrome the world would forfeit a lot of its lustre. In the finish used for our wet shaving accessories it demonstrates its best qualities: The material is corrosion-resistant, very long-lasting and has a luxurious, alluring lustre. When contrasted with this, the colours and shapes of other premium materials are shown to their very best advantage.
 

The Brushhead - Silvertip Fibre®

The high-quality synthetic fibres represent a world first of our own invention. We offer a synthetically produced premium quality whose material characteristics are analogous to those of the precious natural hair, silvertip badger. The majority of the users even say that this quality actually provides better performance characteristics than the natural hair.

'Silvertip Fibre®' is very soft at its fine tips, but somewhat more stable than natural hair in the middle section. These characteristics produce a pleasant, soft sensation on the skin when the lather is applied, without having to forgo the desired firmness of the hairs in the lathering process. In daily use, the manually processed fibres are less sensitive than natural hair as they dry more quickly and are resistant to shaving soaps and creams.

The completely vegan fibres are also somewhat easier to use than natural hair as they produce a particularly creamy and thick lather from a small amount of shaving soap or cream, which is used much more sparingly as a result.

How to Use a Traditional Shaving Set?

Prepare shaving foam: Prepare shaving foam with warm water, a shaving brush and shaving cream or shaving soap. Wet your shaving brush with warm water and create a foam by whisking it in circular motions on the soap / cream in the bowl without shaking the brush. To make the shaving foam thicker and thicker, you can adjust the consistency of the foam by dropping a few drops of water on your brush.

Prepare your skin for the shave: Always shave during or after a hot shower for a flawless traditional wet shave. Apply foam to your skin to soften your skin and prepare your beards for shaving. The application of shaving foam with a shaving brush helps to remove the dead layer on the skin, while removing the beard and preparing it for a comfortable shave. Also, if possible, leaving the foam on your skin for at least 1-2 minutes will allow the beards to soften more and shave easier.

Step 1: Moisten the beard area, preferably with warm water, and lather it thoroughly with a brush. If possible, use a highly effective moisturising shaving cream or soap. This will allow the blade to slide over the skin more easily.  Make sure that the razor head and handle are firmly attached to each other, but only tighten the screw to the extent that it can be unscrewed without much effort.

Step 2: Now begin with the shave. Hold the safety razor at an obtuse angle (approx. 30°) to the skin. Start with the cheeks and allow the razor to slide over the skin, applying gentle pressure.  Always shave in the direction of the beard growth (with the grain).

Step 3: When shaving the neck, stretch the skin tight with your free hand. Do not be discouraged by small cuts or grazes. Once you have familiarised yourself with the razor, they will rarely occur.  For practised shavers: by slightly loosening the handle (approx. ½ a revolution) the angle of the blade is increased. This enables you to shave very cleanly in contours.  Always tighten the handle before continuing with the rest of the shave. Rinse - moisturize: Rinse your skin with cold water after shaving, moisturize, nourish and refresh with an aftershave balm or aftershave.
