Alum Stone

Alum stone, also known as bloodstone, is a natural salt composed of potassium sulfate and aluminum. Widely used by barbers, alum stone is applied to cuts that may occur during shaving to quickly stop bleeding. When moistened, alum stone (bloodstone) helps close skin pores, providing a smooth texture. Furthermore, due to its strong antiseptic properties, alum stone is considered a fundamental element in traditional wet shaving.
