To convert your closed-comb safety razor, suitable for beginner to intermediate users, into an open-comb head, which we recommend for advanced users, you can purchase the R41 Open Chrome replacement head.

Our closed-comb safety razors can be used by anyone new to traditional shaving. These are quality machines suitable for daily shaving and designed to last a lifetime.
Our open-comb razors, on the other hand, provide a very close shave and require practice to master. We do not recommend these razors for daily shaving, as they can be harsh on the skin, or for new users who are not yet accustomed to them.
