Albert Thurston suspenders were first produced and sold in 1820 at their Haymarket store in London, five years before the construction of Nelson's Column. In the 18th century, fashion dictated that men wear high-waisted trousers, so high that a belt couldn't do the job. In fact, throughout the Victorian era, suspenders were the best way for a gentleman to keep his trousers up. Since its early years of production, Albert Thurston suspenders have been very popular among royalty, statesmen, and upper-class gentlemen.

How to Use

Carefully fasten the leather ends of the suspenders to the buttons on the inside of your trousers' waistband.
