How to Use

Prepare your skin for shaving: For a perfect traditional wet shave, always shave during or after a hot shower. Apply lather to your skin to soften it and prepare the beard for shaving. Applying shaving cream with a shaving brush helps remove dead skin cells and lifts the hair, preparing it for a comfortable shave. Also, if possible, allowing the lather to sit on your skin for at least 1-2 minutes will further soften your beard and allow for an easier shave.
First grip: The razor should be held at a 30° angle to the skin. To find the correct angle, first hold the razor parallel to your skin. Then slowly raise the razor; stop as soon as you feel the blade touching your skin. This is the 30° angle you should hold. You can be sure that after approximately 5 shaves, you will naturally find the correct angle and gain practice.
First pass: The most important rule to know when using a safety razor is not to press down. Allow the razor's own weight to do its work. Take the first pass in the direction of hair growth. Do not go over areas where you feel the razor is not cutting your beard. A safety razor cuts by reducing the beard; it does not provide a baby-smooth shave in a single pass. Save these areas for the second pass. One of the simplest causes of irritation is pressing down and repeatedly going over the skin with the razor blade. Do not allow this!
Second pass: After reapplying lather to your skin, clean the remaining beard with the second pass, also in the direction of hair growth. If you want a closer shave, you can shave perpendicular to the direction of hair growth (from nose to ear or ear to nose).
Rinse – moisturize: After shaving, rinse your skin with cold water, then moisturize, nourish, and refresh it by applying aftershave balm or lotion.
