Since 1920, with Tradition and Quality…
In 1920, Olave, Solozabal S.R.C. was founded with the aim of producing high-quality pistols. When the production of pistols was affected by the economic crisis of 1929, partners Olave and Solozabal decided to produce the highest quality office supplies. It was at this time that they began selling their famous M-5 wire staplers, for which they still hold the patent.
In 1938 and 1939, with the addition of new partners, the five families who are still partners today came together and decided to expand their product range.
Products such as pencil sharpeners, paperweights, adhesive tape dispensers, and perforators began to be produced. In 1979, an agreement was reached with a professional designer, and it was decided to produce plastic versions of these products. Although many awards were received with the plastic series, it was not continued due to less demand from customers compared to metal products. Consequently, they returned to classic metal products and decided to develop them. New polishing and finishing methods began to be used, and special black velvet gift boxes were made for each product.
El Casco has continued to add new products to its range since 1993. Our goal is to offer you the best and widest selection of desktop office supplies. Despite all these changes and additions, the only thing that remains unchanged is our philosophy: always the highest quality, reliability, elegance, and success.
Production begins with the selection of the highest quality material. Human labor is involved in every stage of production, quality control is performed at the end of each stage, and products found to be deficient return to the previous stage. Even today, each product is individually hand-polished. Every product, made of copper, nickel, chrome, and 23-carat gold, is treated and cleaned in electrolytic baths. The water used in these baths is recycled with environmental awareness and reused repeatedly. The final assembly of the products is also done by hand, and their functionality is checked. To prevent any damage to the product and fingerprints at this stage, our personnel wear very special gloves and carefully place the products in their special boxes. Thus, our product is ready to satisfy our most meticulous customers.
In addition to our metal products, our folders and similar leather-covered products, made from the highest quality leather, are offered to our customers with the most refined tastes. We can also prepare our classic products specially for you and your company, according to your wishes and satisfaction. We immortalize your logo with our silk printing and special engraving methods.
