Nasıl Daha Çekici Bir Erkek Olursun? - Bonherre

We’re spilling the beans, but it’s actually science talking: some tips and tricks to make you more attractive are waiting for you!

It’s possible to say that some people are more charismatic, more handsome, more attractive. What we can’t quite pinpoint is why. There’s really no fixed answer to this. However, some scientific research provides information that can help you become a more attractive man. We wrote this in case it piques your interest, so here you go…

Catch the Signal

You might say, "I never looked at it that way," but that doesn't stop you from being aware of how others look at you. There really are some "signals" that are the same all over the world, and it's not us saying this, but American anthropologist Helen E. Fisher:

"When flirting with someone who admires her, women first smile. Then they quickly raise their eyebrows. After that, they lower their eyelids, tilt their head to the side, and look away. They also nervously smile while covering their face with their hands."

These sequential courtship gestures are observed in the same way even in very different cultures, to the extent that German ethnologist Irenaus Eibl-Eibesfeldt believes they may have even been seen in the most primitive females evolutionarily.

So, you can start by being aware of who finds you attractive. And of course, there are things you can do to become even more attractive. :)

Catch the Signal

Trust the Drums

You know the saying, "A drum for a drum." Do you know why? When one drum plays, another drum vibrates. The drum with the highest vibration is the one closest to the playing drum. Thanks to this resonance-based harmony, we have one of the most common proverbs. Science even supports the importance of this equivalence today:

In 2011, the University of California studied the behavior of 60 heterosexual men and 60 heterosexual women on a dating app. You can guess the results; the matching rate was much higher for people who were similar. Psychologist Mark Sergeant from Nottingham Trent University, who participated in the study, explains the reason for this behavior:

"When you flirt with someone who is your equal, you avoid two things: First, if they are better-looking than you, you fear they might leave; if you are better-looking than them, you think you can find someone better."

You too can look for women with whom you can find that equality and harmony. Don't just think of financial equivalence here. For example, if you're a cinephile, flirting with a woman who doesn't enjoy cinema at all might lead to negative results. But this doesn't mean you're not attractive. It means you haven't made the right choice to unleash your potential.

Trust the Drums

Pay Attention to Beard Length

Yes, yes, the length matters. At least according to a study conducted at the University of New South Wales… 177 heterosexual men and 351 heterosexual women participated in this study. They were all shown 10 photos of men. They were asked to evaluate these men in terms of attractiveness, parenting ability, health, and masculinity.

The results show that women find men with stubble more attractive. After all, a beard, which is generally seen as a symbol of masculinity and maturity, can sometimes also be perceived as a sign of aggression. If you're going to shave with this in mind, take another look at razors and shavers.

Another important point here is this: if you shower immediately after exercising and try to go to bed right away, it might make falling asleep a little harder. However, exercising a few hours before bed doesn't seem to have a negative effect on sleep quality.

Furthermore, according to another study conducted by the University of North Texas, performing anaerobic workouts in the evening allows you to perform better. This is because the study found that while cardiovascular efficiency and endurance were better in the mornings, overall performance was better in the evenings.

Start Building Muscle

But don't overdo it. Yes, we know that muscular men are generally genetically healthier and are a plus point for a woman when choosing a partner. But don't imagine men with enormous muscles. Why?

In a study conducted at the University of California (Los Angeles), 216 women looked at photos of shirtless men. Men who were slightly muscular and fit were much more preferred for long-term relationships.

So, you don't need to be a Hulk; Captain America is quite ideal. 😊 Even exercising at home is enough for this. Your motivation is ready, here.

Make Her Laugh

"Women like men who make them laugh." According to a study published in Evolution and Human Behavior, this isn't just an idle saying. Undergraduate students were asked: how important it is for their partners to make them laugh, and for them to make their partners laugh.

Women value both greatly. That means both you making her laugh and you laughing at her jokes makes you much more attractive than other men.

Of course, you shouldn't forget that to make a woman laugh, you need to invest in yourself intellectually.

Increase Your Awareness

We are in Australia. A study is being conducted with university students. 91 students are presented with situations designed to measure their levels of awareness and asked whether they agree or disagree with them. The situations are as follows:

  • I can understand my feelings without reacting.
  • I can notice my breathing speeding up and slowing down.
  • I am good at expressing my emotions with words.

After the male students gave their answers to these 3 situations, female students were asked which answer they found more attractive/sexy. The results indicate that women find men with a high level of awareness more attractive.

Increase Your Awareness

Be Proud

A study conducted at the University of British Columbia revealed that men and women prefer different emotional expressions in their potential partners. Over 900 North American men participated in the study. Women were shown photos containing their previously defined emotional expressions.

Interestingly, women rated happy men as the least attractive, while proud men were seen as more attractive profiles for them. We could even say that shy men have a chance. So, Jane Austen might have looked at things from a broader perspective when writing "Pride and Prejudice." 😉

Do Extreme Sports

Don't put yourself in danger, of course; specialize first. This can make you a more attractive man. At least, a study at the University of Alaska says so: Women are more attracted to men who can take what are called "hunter-gatherer risks."

The study, conducted with 230 university students, shows that women find men who take hunter-gatherer risks, including mountain biking, deep diving, and extreme skateboarding, more attractive than men who take lower levels of risk.

Modern risks like not updating your antivirus program or illegally stealing an academic paper also fall into this category of attractiveness, but we'd say there's no need to be "attractive" to that extent. When there's a good rock climb, what's the need?

Yes, as you can see, there are ways for you to be a more attractive man to women. In fact, there's much more than what we've shared. We at Bonherre would like to give you some advice too, but we don't think you need it. Regardless, you, just as you are, are unique and attractive enough to everyone. 😉
