Shaving for Sensitive Skin: We were also upset, but we woke up in the morning and shaved 🙂
"The world is a hell for sensitive hearts," says Goethe. How could it not be? You'll dwell on every minute detail of every event you experience, a word someone said perhaps carelessly will trouble you deeply, sometimes even a –meaningless– glance will sting your soul. Maybe there's no solution, even if you try to be indifferent, it's not in your nature, and if you think you'll get used to it or even become like them over time, your pride won't allow it. In short, being sensitive-hearted is a difficult task, I know it myself 🙂 A very difficult task.
There may be no cure for your heart, but we can find a cure for your sensitive skin. With the right products and a realistic combination, you are not helpless. Of course, for this, you need to know if you really have sensitive skin. Contrary to popular belief, our skin is actually quite resilient, considering the external factors it is exposed to. However, when we add the sensitivity caused by shaving, things can sometimes get out of hand.
First, Identify the Basic Factors
A few pinpoint bleeds do not indicate that you have sensitive skin. However, if you experience redness and burning after every shave, bleeding in a specific area not caused by a technical error, and capillary patterns close to the skin in the neck area, these are a few clear indicators that you have sensitive skin.
And if you also have a coarse or curly beard, congratulations, you have a real conundrum on your hands, and a tough one at that. In this fleeting world where there is a solution for everything except death, first know that you are not alone. Many men with sensitive skin suffer from the same problem. Some have still not found a solution despite countless product trials, others accept it as an unsolvable problem and try to shave in pain, and some delude themselves by saying, "Bro, maybe a beard suits me" 🙂
There's no need to lose heart.
Tips and Advice for Sensitive Skin
1. Definitely give cold shaving a chance: With the effect of hot water, your skin becomes sensitive and prone to irritation, and at the same time, blood vessels expanded by hot water are more prone to bleeding.
2. Absolutely do not lather on your face: Prepare the lather in a bowl. Since lather formation will be more difficult due to cold water, you should load well.
3. Pre-shave products are your medicine: Cella pre-shave gel is perfect for increasing your shave quality with its unique menthol scent and freshness. After letting it sit on your face for five minutes, rinse your face with cold water. Then apply the lather.
4. When applying lather to your face, avoid circular motions, especially in the second pass: If you prefer more than one pass, apply lather with a sweeping motion (also called whitewashing) after the first pass.
5. Do not shower before shaving: Let me repeat, absolutely do not shower. A warm shower, which we recommend for normal skin, will unfortunately have an adverse effect on you. Instead, Baxter of California shaving tonic, which you can use both before and after shaving, can come to your rescue. As the exact opposite of a hot towel application (usually applied in groom shaves), wrap a towel soaked in cold water around your face over the shaving tonic you've worked into your beard, wait a few minutes, then you can start shaving by applying lather. To rinse or not to rinse, that is the question. Not rinsing will not affect the lather performance.
6. Be sure to plan your shave passes and shaving frequency: Shaving every other day will be more enjoyable because your skin will be rested. If you shave every day, a mild (gentle) razor is essential. Luckily, a timeless Mühle R89 is winking at you from the corner, saying, "Howdy handsome?" 🙂 This metallic beauty with a small blade gap must be combined with a blade according to your beard structure. Don't go into battle without your armor. If you have a coarse beard, a sharp blade (Gillette Seven O'Clock Green, Nacet, Platinum), if you have a soft beard and absolutely prioritize comfort, you can try Gillette Silver Blue.
7. Remember that the issue is unique to you: Therefore, a blade combination that works for someone else may not work for you. Experiment by getting blade sample packs. You can only find the best results for yourself through experimentation.
8. DO NOT PRESS: Print this article and hang it on your bathroom wall. While saying, "Oh no, I'm not pressing," look up at the text and yes, DO NOT PRESS.
9. Reduce the number of passes: If you want to get it over with in one pass, I recommend getting an effective razor. For those who haven't yet, see Mühle Rocca 🙂
10. Do not make multiple passes over the same area: The main cause of irritation is scraping the same area because you think there's still stubble. Please don't do it. And don't believe those who say your beard will grow thicker if you scrape it!
11. Perform an alum block check after shaving: After finishing your shave, you can perform a shave check with a Mühle alum block. If there's burning, it means your technique isn't settled yet. While it stays on your face making your skin feel like concrete, you can clean your shaving gear, and then? Then rinse with ice-cold water.
12. I do not recommend alcohol-based products: They will not be good for your sensitive skin. However, using post-shave products is a matter of taste. Instead of lotions and colognes with high alcohol content, a balm is more appropriate. For this, a highly absorbent, menthol-fresh Mühle or Cella balm will be like medicine, and the skin-friendly Vitamin E it contains is an added bonus.

So, my friends, there's a solution for everything in life. As long as you know the right way. This brother, who has found a remedy for your sensitive skin, also thinks of your sensitive heart and offers an additional piece of advice:
I don't know about your skin, but the biggest riddle to solve in this life is yourself.
Let those who want to solve it, struggle.
No matter what you go through, stay a gentleman.
If we made any mistakes, please forgive us!
