➕ What does aggressiveness mean?
The aggressiveness of a safety razor varies depending on the razor's head design. As the angle of the blade you insert into the razor changes, and how much it remains within the head (i.e., the safety bar), you will feel the blade differently on your face.
The more the blade is within the safety bar, meaning the less exposed it is, the less you will feel it on your face. Accordingly, you can get a smooth shave where you barely feel the blade.
The more exposed a blade is and the greater the distance between the blade's edge and the bar, the more it will contact your face. This means it will provide an "aggressive" shave where you feel the blade more on your face.
If we shave daily, we should prefer softer razors suitable for daily shaving, as we don't want our skin to be fatigued by the blade.
If we shave every 3-4 days, cutting a longer beard, more aggressive razors will do a better job.
➕ What does blade gap mean?
Blade gap refers to how much of the blade is visible along the long edge when you insert it into the razor. The more exposed the blade is, the more it will contact our skin; the more it is recessed, the less it will be felt on the skin.
Here, the razors with a smaller blade gap are the BR176 and BR179 models. The BR171 model has a larger blade gap and provides a more aggressive shave.
