A "çilingir" (raki) table, in its humblest and most intimate form, used to be set on a newspaper. Since the aim was good conversation, no one bothered with adornments; with a shared, sweet haste, the table would be ready. Sometimes, just as the conversation deepened, eyes would wander to a news item, which would then be included in the chat, leading to amusement. In this age where printed newspapers are increasingly rare, we've created a tablecloth that evokes those years. What's more, you can wash and reuse it. Enjoy your meal…

The 500-year-old raki culture continues to rejuvenate over time, embracing different colors and dynamic energy. While new voices like Hayko Cepkin and Gaye Su Akyol are added alongside classic names such as Hamiyet Yüceses and Müzeyyen Senar, new generation meyhanes (taverns) are also emerging next to traditional ones. Raki is no longer just a drink for middle-aged, fatherly men; it is transforming into a culture where people of all kinds blend creativity, gusto, life energy, music, meze, and conversation. The "white of raki" is now becoming a spectrum that embraces differences.

Anason İşleri (Aniseed Works) was born with the aim of connecting this vibrant, revitalized raki culture with the language of design. They set out to create products that touch daily life, tables, and homes, moving beyond the office environment and the digital world. Adopting the principle of transforming crisis into design, they produced anise-scented items. They have created innovative designs across a wide range of products, from raki glasses to meze plates, tablecloths to t-shirts, wallpapers to accessories. Anason İşleri aims to give raki culture a universal form by collaborating with innovative designers.
