Alum Stone

Alum stone, also known as bloodstone, is a natural salt composed of potassium sulfate and aluminum. Widely used by barbers, alum stone is applied to cuts that may occur during shaving to quickly stop bleeding. When moistened and used, alum stone helps to close skin pores, providing a smooth texture. Furthermore, due to its strong antiseptic properties, alum stone is considered an essential element in traditional wet shaving.
